1. Hi all
I have for sale a single ply 10 hole mount anodised gold 58 Precision pick guard, I've only had it a week but have decided it's not what i'm looking for. It's been ever so slightly modified because the neck pocket and pick up surround were to small.
There is also scratch right next to the pick up surround. The camera couldn't pick it up very well

£15 posted to your door.
Cheers

2. Bit of an update, I've had the chance to give the bass a once over this evening. I've given it a bit of Attention and addressed a few bits. The tone pot now works, Ive given the frets a polish and put some lemon oil on the fretboard. after checking everything is working as it should (including the truss rod) it's looking a lot better.
I honestly think with a new pick guard and a proper set up this bass will be spot. It's perfectly playable now. Even the strings sound nice and bright.
More pics can be found here. I tried to pick up the buckle rash but it wouldn't show

I'm happy to box the bass up if you sort your own courier.
£50 is a steal

3. Hi all
I have a new bass incoming in the near future, So I though I would offer this bass for sale. I'm selling cheaply because I need it gone.
Squier Standard P bass special, Built in 05.
The bass could do with a little TLC
The bass is in good order but could do with a set up a new strings. There are a lot of buckle rash marks on the back of the body but the front is not bad. Frets are level and it holds tune perfectly well. The neck has yellowed nicely for that road worn look. Unfortuatley the tone pot doesn't work due to some bad soldering. There are some new pick guard holes in the body which are covered once the guard is in place.

I don't really want to sell but she who must obeyed say's it must go.
The gold pick guard will be taken off, I will include the original white one. This has had stickers on then removed, which has resulted in uneven yellowing. I think the stickers were removed with wire wool (the pick guard is scratched up)
It would be a decent project for someone.
Collection only really, because I have no packaging materials.
Thanks for looking

Trade wise, Would like some 1/4 pounder pickups.

4. There seems to be a lot of love for cheap basses on the forums, so lets have a cheap bass thread. Bass must have cost no more than £180 (you don't have to tell us how much it cost)

I'll start with my Squier P bass special. Massive shout out to Grangur for finding it for me :D

Come on, get your cheap ones out.

5. Update,
After spending much of this afternoon trying to fix this I'm getting somewhere.....slowly
I've been gently wet sanding the body with 2500 grit paper. Once it's smooth I have been going at it with T-cut. It's a long process but it's working to a point. I think a buffing wheel for my drill shall be found tomorrow.

6. Hi All
Picked up a 2nd hand bass the other day, I usually would have walk away from this one but it plays nice and is well made. Only problem is it has a ridiculous amount of buckle rash on the back. Obviously it's not going to affect the bass much and I didn't pay to much for it.
I was just wondering if there is a way of getting rid of it. (wet sanding maybe)

The scratches seem light enough, if I run my finger nail over them I can only just feel them.
Does anyone have any advise on how to remove or at least minimise the scratches?
Thanks in advance

7. I would just like to give a massive thumbs up and thanks to all the time wastes and picture tourists.
Some people slag ebay off but what I've experienced trying to sell this bass on here, ebay isn't so bad.
Thanks

8. Hi all
I have for sale a set of D'Addario flat wounds. Regular light gauge and long scale. Like these

http://www.gak.co.uk...CFYoIwwodRGQAow

I fitted the strings to my bass for around 3 days to see if I liked them. They have probably had 45 mins of play in them. It turns out I prefer rounds. Unfortunately I no longer have the original packaging

£10 + postage or Trade for some fender strap locks.
Thanks for looking
