Very powerful and flexible two-channel preamp (valve and FET) with two power amp outputs, each of which can run at minimum 4 Ohms. The valve and FET channels can also be blended. Just took delivery this afternoon, not yet plugged in but wanted to share a few pics! Many of you will have seen this model at various shows, it is (I think the first?) Acrylic Resin Treated (ART) model from ACG. This imparts a unique colour pattern based on the wood cell structure.

I run 2 x Baer ML112 , 16.5 kg each, or just the one in a pub. Usually I 'lend it out' to whoever we are playing with, and it cuts through beautifully. So certainly worth trying a Baer or similar that stresses the mids, e.g. a Fearful/Fearless, Bergantino, etc.

Is UK courier an option? Much as I love Manchester I'm not able to get there too easily

Yes, it's partly related to an old finger injury, a thicker neck to grip seems to help. Although it's also true that the technique needs work!

Played 90 mins on Saturday's pub gig, rock blues covers, and my left hand was cramping by the end.

I play a MIM P with La Bella .110 flats, and I'd like some more support from the neck, i.e. front to back depth. Only the base of the fingers seems to be touching the neck on the MIM.

I've read up on the profiles of the 50s reissue P's, and the AVRI 63, but short of finding one to try can anyone please advise on how their neck depth/shape would compare to the MIM?

I'm after a loud clean tone so as I understand it KT120s would be a good choice - and I love the vintage look (especially the oiled mahogany variant ). But reviews are thin on the ground - does anyone here have one?

Yes - really stupid, and no excuse. The lesson I've learnt here is always check the venue beforehand where feasible (and this was, it's local) then I could have had this checked out beforehand and no worries on the night.

My electrician friend tested and confirmed they were regular, working 3-pin 13 amp sockets, but of course we should have done that before flicking the switch. Nobody at the venue knew why they were labelled with the warning. It's possible it was to make more visible the warning of the big heater socket which was next to them, but that's a guess.

Regular 3-pin UK socket with a '400 Volt' sticker on it.

Have just set up for tonight's gig, in a pub barn next to the carvery. The sockets there are all labelled 400 Volt, which IIRC is a 3-phase supply for industrial heaters. Throwing caution to the wind we plugged in to them with our 230 v equipment, and it all seems to work. I'm hoping that is because it does not deliver 400 volts all the time, rather it can just peak at that. Is that right?

I'm considering he following setup, anything I should be aware of...?

P bass
- > LeadFoot A/B/Y signal splitter
----> Fender Rumble 200 combo (v3, 1x15) with tone set flat
----> Fender Rumble 200 combo (v3, 1x15) with tone set for some drive

...plus (when needed) DI from the SansAmp to PA.

Aim is for:[list=1]
[*]portability, saving one on the head-cab-cab trip I make to the car now
[*]flexibility, as I can just take one combo to practice
[*]tonal mix, with the chance of mild drive through one combo and clean through the other

I prefer this over a single combo and ext cab because I'm assuming that the two combos will struggle less at volume, because it's not a very powerful head, and also it allows (3) above.

Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers.
