  1. Thanks for your answers so far. I'm positive that this is a 90s bass, serial number dates it to April 1995. It is a very cool one-off, with predominantly wenge neck, wide string spacing, black hardware, Bartolini PUPs and electronics and beautiful flame maple body wings. However, given the general consensus here (which agrees with my gut feeling about it), I think I shall pass on it
  2. Hey there, I've tried an early 90s Warwick SSI in person that I really liked. It weighs a lot, but it was very very good. However, I have taken a long look at some pictures of the neck-headstock junction area afterwards and I've noticed some kind of strange "mark" on one of the wenge stripes. The owner says that this neck has never broke and has never been repaired. I don't have any reason not to trust him tbh, and the setup was good with a straight neck. Could it be in your opinion a "knot" of the wenge in that area, or a ding, or any other explanation that doesn't involve a neck crack that has been glued? Thanks a lot Alessio
  3. That 10$ bass did probably have a great tone, then!😋 Nothing to worry about, I too can't stand the tone of basses much more expensive than this Sadowsky
  4. Agreed. Just mounted some roundwounds on the bass, and it really sings. I've tried alot of Sadowskys before picking this one locally.
  5. Ewan bought my Status Stealth 4: smooth transaction and a very nice guy too! Looking forward to dealing again with him
  6. This bass is sold!
  7. Thanks! It really is beautiful. Please consider also that the price is negotiable. Looking for a straight sale
  8. Status Stealth 4, 100% carbon fiber bass, headed model. Great conditions, some minor scratches on the back as shown in pictures. Very lightweight (3.7 kg), balances very well on a strap, exceptional sustain. This model has a 3 band active EQ with a boost/flat/cut switch for the Mids and a knob to select the frequency to boost/cut. Currently strung with Thomastik Jazz Roundwound strings. Sold with its original Hiscox hardcase. Payment with Bank Wire Transfer. EDIT: Got a quote from the courier (Mailboxes etc.) about shipping costs: Packaging + Insurance + Delivery (any part of UK) would be around 115€, But I'm going to cover the shipping costs. You can hear it at the following links: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RDDEVOCLLH_OJDhaNq3sYT6hHInuwbr- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hyxhaI9FE31ACjcUabKciuJNgjEhwB1a https://drive.google.com/open?id=1V3IEsuNn7_T7FFPNqr--g-wWNQRxYKwA PM me for further info.
  9. Sadowsky Metroline RS4, Made in Japan model with 2 piece Alder body and a beautiful Pau Ferro fingerboard. Very good conditions, considering it's been my only music companion for almost three years; used but not abused. I tried to take a picture of any ding. Year of birth 2015. Weight is 4.0 kgs. Completely original. It has always been strung with Thomastik Flatwound JF344 (flatwound strings), perfect setup. Sold with a Sadowsky NYC case, in average aesthetic conditions but perfectly functional. Payment with Bank Wire Transfer. EDIT: Got a quote from the courier (Mailboxes etc.) about shipping costs: Packaging + Insurance + Delivery (any part of UK) would be around 115€, But I'm going to cover the shipping costs. You can hear the bass here:
  10. O EM GEE...my dream bass...no money at the moment though...good luck with the sale!
  11. Thing is, there are many flavours of excellence I've never heard about them and it would be kind of a blind purchase, I'm looking for Sad or maybe La Bellas based on research / trying other sets of flats from different makers which helped me to develop a taste regarding strings Bassstringsonline is interesting indeed. Do they still make VIP prices for members of the "other american based bassists' forum" (don't know if i can mention it here) ?
  12. Did you have to pay any extra cost except for shipping?
  13. Hello, today I've been looking for some online shop in Europe with Sadowsky Black Label flats in stock, but there seems to be none! The only one I've found was based in Italy, but I received a call from them and they basically said it actually was out of stock and refunded me. Does anyone know where I could get them? (US shops are not worth it tbh, long wait + high shipping price + strong dollar makes it not worth it in my opinion). I might as well end up just buying some La Bella 760FL to replace TI, but I was more curious about Sad.
