  1. Yet another project I never got round to. A Swamp Ash Precision body weighing in at a ridiculously light 2lb 15oz. Finished in nitrocellulose by Mark Jenny in the seldom seen Fender colour Desert Sand. Closet clean, so no aging applied although it has picked up a couple of very slight marks whilst I've had it lying around including a slight chip along the edge of the neck pocket. Its hard to make out in the photos. It has been drilled for a pickguard and a 5-hole bridge. These cost well over £300 to get over here from America, so grab a bargain here instead for £160. Collection welcome from Colne, Lancashire but can post once I've found a box. 2. Here's and excellent quality, German made K&M keyboard stand. Very sturdy and ideal for digital pianos etc. Height and width adjustable. Full specs are on the K&M website. Includes the optional 18952 stacker, giving a second tier. The whole lot cost me £150 new. I've only ever used it at home so condition is excellent apart from the odd scratch. Looking for £70. Can't post at the moment but I am on the lookout for a suitable box. Based in Colne, Lancashire. 3. Here’s a 1983 Fender Standard Series Precision in Ivory with a maple fingerboard. These E-serial basses were amongst the last to be produced by the Fullerton factory and Fender are reputed to have turned out some great instruments during this period, the Standard Series having much in common with the more desirable American Vintage line. The original Ivory finish is mostly present and correct but there are a lot of little dinks, donks and chips mainly on the edges, but one or two on the front and back as well. The back has yellowed quite a bit, which just about comes across in the photos I think. The bridge is in fairly clean condition. The knobs have seen better days but are working as they should. There’s a small crack in the single-ply pickguard, where the output socket is. On the neck, the treble side edge is missing finish on frets 1-8 and 12. There’s a chip in the finish on the back of the neck behind fret 5 which I haven’t found to be noticeable when playing. Also there are a few small dinks and bits of finish missing around the edges of the head stock. Aside from this the neck finish is good. All original with the exception of the nut and output jack which I had replaced, and the tuners which I replaced with Gotoh Res-o-Lites. As far as I am aware the BT4S tuners used on Fenders of this era are the heaviest tuners Fender ever used at 123 grams a piece. The Gotohs are 67 grams a piece. It’s a fairly light bass at around 8lb 4oz and the old tuners caused a fair amount of neck dive so they had to come off. It’s a much more playable bass with the Res-o-lites and balances nicely. The original nut, and tuners are included in the sale, as are the original strap buttons and felts which I replaced with Dunlop ones. The bass comes in its original hard shell case. It’s a bit tatty - structurally fine but the latches have seen better days. One of them has come off (also included), and one doesn’t close properly. Basically, its fine for storage, but I wouldn’t use it on the road. Cosmetic issues aside, it’s a really playable bass and sounds great. Its light, resonant and balances well. I have it strung with D’addario Chromes and the action is reasonably low. Has the Fender C neck size – 1.75 inches at the nut but very slim in profile. I’m looking for £700, which is less than what it stands me at thanks to the Gotohs. I would rather deal in person, although postage may be an option. Based in Colne, Lancashire.
  4. What's up Karl, were you missing the Duck?
  5. Very interested. What's the width at the nut and what's the profile like?
  6. Apologies all, I've been absent for a while. Yes, I've still got it.
  7. That should be do-able.
  8. Hi Steve, I'm in Colne, Lancashire.
  9. Here's a set of 4 Gotoh GB30 cloverleaf tuners. Excellent quality, Japanese made, they are in excellent condition. I removed them from my Atelier-Z Jazz bass in order to replace them with lighter ones, although they're not enormously heavy at 83g per piece. £45 posted.
  10. Here's a TC Polytune mini Noir. Barely used, boxed, I've stuck a little bit of Velcro on the bottom which will come off cleanly if required. £40 posted.
  11. Here's an sfx Micro Thumpinator high pass filter. Yours for £80 posted. I haven't taken any pictures as it hasn't been used and is as new. Avoid the waiting time and save a bit of cash too!
  12. If you fancy doing a bit of home recording on the cheap this could be the setup for you. It's slightly dated now given the speed at which this technology moves, but all quality stuff and works a treat. There are a couple of minor issues with the controller and the interface detailed below, hence the knockdown price. Comes from a smoke free home too, if you're bothered about that sort of thing. Collection from Colne, Lancashire. Here's the details: 2007/8 Apple Imac 17" 2Ghz Core Duo, 4GB RAM. Includes keyboard and original system discs and manual. In Superb condition, never had any issues with it. Recording software not included. Mackie Control Universal DAW controller. Faders for channels 2 and 7 don't calibrate properly on start up and ideally could do with replacing. I just used to put up with it as they still work in terms of sending data to the DAW. Everything else works as it should and condition is excellent. I have the manual and overlay templates for different software. TC Electronic Konnekt 24D Firewire Audio interface. Again excellent condition, but I'm getting a buzz when I plug into channel 1. This goes away when you gently press the pad button, so it's still perfectly useable. I've been using it like this for a while and haven't had any other issues. Manuals and discs included. Apologies for the hastily taken photos. I can take better ones if required.
  13. Impending new kitchen forces me to part with this awesome EUB which isn't getting the use it deserves. I've had it from new for about a year and have only used it at home. The condition is therefore excellent, although I have managed to put a couple of marks in it. One of these cannot be seen when the back piece is installed. The other is more of a long indentation in the side of the body which hasn't gone through the finish. Both are pictured below and I have tried to reflect these in the price. I have added some position markers which I made using copper foil tape and a hole punch. They can be removed if necessary. The bass comes with it's original gig bag and manual. I'm in Colne, Lancashire and prospective buyers are more than welcome to come and try it out. I would really rather not post it, but we'll see how that goes...
  14. Beautiful. Ishibashi is the nuts. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Here's a DAL-4 I picked up from the U-box last year:
  15. Brian bought and collected my EA NL210 recently. A flawless transaction and a real pleasure to deal with. Many thanks.
  16. Recently sold and posted my EA Wizzy 12M to Clarky. A flawless transaction in every respect.
  17. The stand is a quiklok ws540. Sounds dull as dish watter I know, but it's the best purchase I've made in ages. With the adjustable legs removed, its lighter and still gives 2ft of lift. It really seems to help in boomy environments. The cheapest one I could find was on eBay from an Italian shop. Cost 60 odd quid all in.
  18. Here's an EA NL210 I bought on here in April this year. I picked up a few cabs with the intention of trying them out in my own time. Having finally settled on a new rig I am moving on the surplus. This thing is very posh indeed. It's 8 ohm, rated at 500W and at 34lb it's ridiculously light. It's in immaculate condition and comes with a proper EA cover. I'm looking for £475 which is what I paid for it. I would rather not post, but it may be an option if I fail to sell locally. Any trial most welcome. I'm based in Colne, Lancashire.
