    I would absolutely assume so.

Thanks for the info. Just fitted the straplocks to the bass, got quite stiff on the last few turns. I guess the Spector screw was a little shorter than the dunlop so bit a bit further into the wood. All seems fine though!

  2. Oh amazing, I think that's my preferred choice. Think I might invest in a new strap too! The levys I've been using on the alpher is coming to the end of its life and I have a mono one but found that im always concious of it whilst i am playin.

I would assume they use the same strap buttons on the LX and LTs!

  3. What do people recommend for straplocks on the euros? Was considering just getting a nice, new strap and using the grolsch stoppers but it would be handy to have an easy way to remove the strap. Used dunlop straplocks in the past with no issue, just worried about screw size for fitting them.

  4. No problem!

I had a dreaded moment yesterday where I thought there was a crack in the fretboard. A few photos sent to Barnes and Mullins today and they've reassured me it's just a patch of open grain and have offered to fill it and blend it in for me if I was worried about it cosmetically but I think I'm OK with it!! Can't fault those guys at all, so helpful and really love the brands they distribute here!

Been playing it more tonight! I think the barts are quite dark but cracking the eq open a little really opens things up and you get that deep edgy tone I love!

  5. Hey, yep my first one!

I'm not usually a fan of bartolinis and more a fan of EMGs but it sounds good and the darkglass preamp seems quite aggressive. I initially thought I wanted a Classic 5 in black with EMG J pickups but I'm glad I went for the LT with that 35" scale..

The B string is outrageous..usually as I play further up the neck the notes lose their definition but on this they ring clear as if it was an E string! Blew me away.

One thing I noticed was the pickups were really close to the strings, is this normal with LTs?

  6. Well it arrived, suddenly!! Was stressful as I wasn't at home so luckily my parents patiently sat in my house and waited!

Amazing. The low B is incredible. The bass balances incredibly well, it's a nice weight. The finish is flawless!

The sound flat is very full a natural, there's a lovely mid-range to the tone and it'll be interesting to open the control cavity up and see how it is set! The darkglass pre is very powerful!! Don't seem to need much boost or cut. The treble to my ears at least really gets that bitey spector growl!

All first impressions but very impressed! Always played Warwicks before!

  7. I currently have a Spector that was supposed to be with me on Friday. Never showed up. Fefec Tracking turned to delayed until last night where it appears to now be at another depot but delayed still. I take comfort in the fact its moved but fear it could be low stuck there for days or weeks.

I feel for you, it absolutely infuriating and I despise companies that can't get something they've been doing for years right..

  8. Eagerly waiting for the fedex man, thought the estimate delivery window is coming to an end soon and worried the tracking hadn't updated since last night! We will see, it says its on time 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

  9. Just officially became a spector endorsee and ordered a Violet fade Euro 5 LT, coming on Friday! Very excited. Never thought I would go for that colour but it very much grew on me with the gold hardware.

Nice one! I had an LH500 for a while....so loud and clean.

Definitely! I've found I like to run very very hot alpher into the passive input, just seems to give it a little more edge. The new cabs are great too, the sound seems so immediate, very punchy!

How does the LH compare to the old HA heads?

It's been decades since I played through a HA series amp that I couldn't really fairly compare them. I would love to get the HA3500 at some point though. The HA4000 i had was completely solid state, and I remember it had a huge amount of low end but was very clinical sounding where as the LH1000 is a very warm amp that let's the sound of the bass really come through. After having used the amp for a few shows now, I've found the way I've used the EQ is to simply enhance the sound subtley rather than trying to really shape the sound, if that makes sense?

  12. A bit of advice to anyone with lightweight cabs. Even if they are light, don't jump out of a van with them!

I did and I suspect I have now a few bruised ribs from the impact of the cab hitting into my chest!!

  13. Sadly selling my very reliable and great sounding EBS rig after recently getting an endorsement deal with Hartke a few months ago. Was thinking of keeping the rig but two bass rigs in a house is too much!

So for sale is the following:

    EBS Reidmar 502 bass amp

EBS Neo 2x12 4ohm Bass cab

Both the amp and the cab have been very well looked after and so in excellent, fully working condition. The Reidmar comes with a peli type case with pick and pluck foam which has done a great job of protecting it, could maybe do with having some new foam after 4 years!

The cabinet is a 4ohm cab so combined with the Reidmar 502 the rig is incredible loud and never feels pushed or at its limit. You get that classic clear, punchy EBS sound in a lightweight, manageable rig and if you're completely mad you can add a second 4ohm cab due to the Reidmar 502 going down to 2ohms.

I have the original box for the Reidmar too somewhere if required.

Not looking to split the rig and would need to be a collected due to size from South Wales..

Not looking to trade either unless you own a 5 string Doug Wimbish spector, which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist!!

Will post photos as soon as I get a moment, just wanted to get the listing up!

Thanks for looking and any questions please feel free to ask!

But he's using the dreadful 4x10 and 1x15 pairing. It shouldn't be allowed! In an actual on stage use the 15 is greatly left behind by the more able 4x10 and eventually fails.

BTW Thank you for taking the time and effort to post that link. :)

It's not my favourite set up but it works for Victor live! The LH1000 actually has a balance control so you can send more output to either cab.

Only the top 4x10 was plugged in, in that photo as it was deafening! Me and the keys player do not like bass through monitors so we just blast the amp!

    Love these amps!

  15. Cool, you should try and demo the new gear. Hopefully it would change your opinion.

There is a great video with Victor Wooten playing through a mic'd up rig similar to mine and it sounds incredible. It's a sweetwater video about looping or something.
