Good point, though it was a nice dead room so maybe it had a helping hand! I just discovered the ampeg neo range and the AV 212s. I hadn't realised they had ventured into smaller cabs, may be worth a look as I'm familiar with the sound of most of the classic range cabs.

Hey, So the Aguilar db112 has since gone. I'm thinking of keeping the head and getting a lightweight cab. I just had a rehearsal this afternoon and ran it through an old mag 410 and it sounded great and I usually hate ash down cabs! Thinking maybe ampeg or Aguilar would suit - some more vintage modern voiced than hi fi modern

I bought an Eden WTP 600 and the 410 XLT this time last year. It was a compromise between my then orange AD200 and matching flight case 8x10 and my little Aguilar db112 and EA micro. I thought it would fit my touring and function gigs - portable enough to get in the car but still loud enough to work on a large stage. Fast forward a year and I've done a lot more local work than touring and after buying a house with steps up to the front door and a change of car from a discovery to a magane I'm starting to think I've made a poor decision! I had a corperate residency over Christmas where I left my rig set up the whole time and I think the luxury had made me forget what s physical struggle getting my gear in the car then loading in/out at venues. I'm starting to think wtf am I doing to myself?! Don't get me wrong my rig sounds incredible, though to appreciate the tone I usually have to stand a good few meters away - that cab seriously projects! With the abundance it seems of lightweight gear available now I'm wondering if I just replace the cab with something else or go the whole way and change the head too. The Aguilar sl and tone hammer stuff has caught my eye and I recently played through one and was to my surprise impressed with its tone. The Mesa stuff looks impressive too although very expensive. The Eden is my dream rig that I've wanted since I was 16 listening to incubus and I feel pretty silly about selling it after just a year. I don't know if I changed the cab what would be a good fit with the WTP head. I think I'm also swaying away from the aggressive grindy rock tone to a more warm and thick tone! I think common sense needs to prevail and realise I'm not getting younger haha! If any of you guys can chip in any advice who have had the same 1st world problem i would love to hear from you! As far as I can see equipment is getting a lot more efficient and powerful and so the days of huge cabs may be gone!

@dmckee sorry only just saw this. The width at the nut is 1.65 inches and at the 12th fret 2.24 inches. Balance is fine, tho I have to admit I have never really had a problem with the balance of any bass or experience neck dive apart from a gibson thunderbird! Bass is still available. If you'd like to make an offer or get a delivery estimate please just message me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. -

i recently sold my Warmoth project bass/parts to Kostas. I was at first a little hesitant about shipping something abroad but after speaking with Kostas over a number of messages I discovered Kostas was a decent, genuine bass lover, and was glad I sold the bass too him. The transaction was smooth and he updated me when he sent payment and when the bass safely arrived in Greece. Don't hesitate like me and chrisd24 did, take it from us Kostas is a top notch basschatter! Enjoy the project and hope you make a better job of it than i did!!

I'm thinking of selling my beloved Duff bass. It's been sat in a case under my spare bed for a year now and I'm having a clear out of my basses to make room (and funds) for my Alpher Mako Elite build. Two things I should make clear before I go any further is that the bass currently has a missing bridge saddle and no strings… the saddle popped off during a function gig last January never to be found again… this was more down to me taking my anger/food rage out on some Chic tunes due to the bride being one of the most unpleasant people I've ever met. Anywayyyyy…. I removed the strings after a while as they were loosened and resting on the pickups in the case. I will try and find a black bridge saddle and restring it before a sale is made but if not can negotiate the price to take that into account. So back to the bass and the reason why this is just a feeler at the moment. The bass belonged to a bass player/producer friend from a band who I looked up to growing up and eventually became a friend and mentor to me and was behind some of the more successful parts of my career as a musician. The bass was a back up and pretty much new when I bought it from him and I toured it for two tours and it got a fair bit of wear on those tours but it was the only bass where I've had non-bass players come up to me after the gig to tell me how great the bass sounded! So aside from some silly sentimental value the bass is up for sale as space and money is required!! Tried to the dings etc as best I can £500 plus delivery or pickup

Selling my Darkglass B3K that I bought from Doug back in 2011, apparently it was hand wired by the man himself. It was also used in the demo video I did for Darkglass that caught the attention of Alex Webster from Cannibal Corpse. I used this pedal for touring and recording until 2015, last year the switch became intermittent and despite the kind offers to replace it by other basschaters I just haven't had the time to sort it out and im really happy with my bass tone as it is right now. I have a couple of emails from the tech support guys at Darkglass who confirm its most likely the switch as they do wear out eventually, and I have been given a link to the spare part which costs a couple of euros there abouts. I actually gave it a spray with contact cleaner which for a while solved the problem but the intermittency eventually returned - so looking likely to be just in need of a new switch. Obviously this an early incarnation of the B3K but it's my understanding nothing has changed since then and a chance to get a small piece of Darkglass history. The pedal sounds incredible as you'd expect. I hope to maybe get a duality and VMT one day! £110 plus postage Link to video https://youtu.be/21ovdJJwjg0
