  1. Hi,

I wonder if you can advise please. My brain wasn't working at the time when I left feedback for Shepster8316. Instead of putting it under the rest of feedback for him, I mistakenly started a new topic. Is there any way I can correct this to keep his feedback in order?

    Many Thanks, Tom

  2. I bought some speakers off Paul. He wrapped them really well and arranged a courier too. A real gent and a pleasure to do business with, can't recommend him enough. Thanks again mate, dealing with you was perfect, Cheers, Tom

  3. First I want to state that I have no affiliation with them whatsoever....

I just believe that when you receive over and above customer care service, then shops etc, deserve positive feedback. Paul at Strings Direct today in dealing with me, was a credit to the shop, and if you're reading this mate, I just want to say a big thank you again.

After my experience with them today, I can't recommend them enough.

  4. I loved the TE 4X10 combo I had, easily the best sound I've ever had, shame about the weight. Seeing these pics reminded me of when I'd spend hours glossing over these mags fantasising about upgrading to stuff way out of my price range. Thanks for sharing...

  5. I guess you could always buy a S/H EBS amp and try it out at rehearsals etc (sadly gigs seem off the menu for a while), and if you're not happy with it sell it. The TD 650's sound the same as the HD350's but have a stand by switch which is always handy.

Ironically I first heard someone using an EBS amp at a gig which made me want to get one too! 🙂

  6. I've been using a HD350 head for a number of years now and have been really pleased with it. They are well made and deliver the clean glassy sound my ears like. I use mine in a function band setting so covering various genres which it handles well.  I also like the simplicity of using it with a straight forward EQ section that doesn't require much faffing about with.

I've used an assortment of other heads in the past including Ashdown, but found myself changing them after several months. At the end of the day sound is all subjective, trying out different one's (if you can) is probably the best way forward in finding a sound you're happy with. Good luck in your search.
