1.
How much are they? They look lovely Why do they slay a Sandberg I have 2 and love them
They are built to order. They cost with all the extras my bass has £2500. The neckprofile suits me better. Flat 20" radius, Thick neck. Hipshot hardware is far superior to sandberg hardware. I could not get along with the sandberg bridge. I plays better with much lower action.
2. It's the first 5-string they made. It's couple of years old. I'm the second owner. The guy who ordered it stopped playing 5-strings. Sold both of my Sandbergs TM5 this bass owns them! It's also much better than the Lakland skylines i used to own.
3. I just got a Swedish made Lighthouse Outwatch bass. Compound neck Alder body glockenklang 2 band 18 volt preamp Lundgren (swedish handwound pickups) Hipshot hardware It plays like butter! https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9h9OKDW8CmKQldhOHE3WWZ0T0E
4. I have had basses with graphite necks by Moses, Status, Zon, Modulus and Clover. All the graphite necks are great! The Moses jazz neck was a bit too narrow at the nut for my taste. The moses neçk is harder to install with the inserts. If you get a graphite neck, make sure it has the relief you like or a truss rod! Modulus flea necks are the closest to a pbass meck.
5. The difference has been discussed at the talkbass site. I hope It's ok to link to the site on this forum. This is a post from the actual Sterling by musicman company: "The SBMM Ray34, Ray34CA, Ray35, Ray35CA, and the now discontinued SB14 all have electronics that have been designed and spec'd out for us by Music Man' engineering department to correspond with their USA counterpart models: Pickups, PCB Assemblies, Switches, Wiring Schematics ("Guts"). 6. I'll give it a try when the pedalcase get's here! I'm about to fit the bridge onto the body. After that I'll a/b the real stingray pre (in my Musicman stingray 5) with the Eden WTDI connected the the Stingray clone.
7. I have thought about doing that. I orded a pedalbox and I have a duncan mm preamp. My electronic skills are not so good, so I rather get a professional made preamp I guess I could give it a try. I have an Eden WTDI . Do you think it will do the trick?
8. I'm building a Stingray 5 clone. I'ts going to get an alder body, Status Graphite neck, Seymour Duncan mm-pickup and a Hipshot bridge. Instead of an onboard preamp I'm going to get a pedal preamp to use between the bass and the amp. Do you have any opinions on what pedal pre will sound closest in sound to the onboard pre? now i have an eden wtdi
9. It's going to be white. The orignal neck has a maple finger board.
10. It's a custom built body and an original neck. Hipshot 17.5 mm bridge. Seymour Duncan "musicman" 3 band preamp.
11. I'm going to get a 5 string musicman style pickup for a Stingray 5 clone. Has anyone tried a Status Graphite MM pickup? http://www.status-graphite.com/status/frames/index_home.html I already have 2 Stingray 5s so I'm open to a different sound. I

13. I just bought an Edwards 135m bass. I can't find any info on the preamp. It's a KH-1 2-band 9 volt preamp. Anyone know if it's Seymour Duncan or an ESP made? http://www.espguitar.../E-LW-135M.html
14. Did some shielding to get rid of the enormous hum! I tried with conductive paint first, but I wasn't happy with the results, so I shielded every cavity with copperfoil. Now its conductive paint and copper ontop of it The bass is dead silent!
15. I got a Hamer Cruise] 5 off ebay. I replaced the crappy after marked Artec pickups the previus owner put in it with stacked Bartolinis and put new pots as well. Pretty sweet bass! Here is the bass as it was when I got it:

19. I just got a Vester 90-ties bass with this bridge. Anyone know brand or model? Thanks!
20. It says on the Status website that the neck fits both stingray 5 and ray35. I'll put it on the ray35 first! Now I will order it!
21. I have a dark red Stingray 5 from the late 80ties and a semi-new black Sterling ray35. I really like the black on black look with a graphite neck on a black bass. My question if you think the Indonisian bass deserves the fancy status neck? Is the eq and body materials as good as the real stingray 5? I really like the neck on the Stingray 5.
22. I just bought a Clover Slapper from the late 80ties. It's a german made bass with carbon fiber neck and a 18 volt german Noll preamp with bartolini pickups. Great soundning bass.
