2. D'oh! I just noticed that i made a hugh mistake in the ad: I wrote that the bass was from 1993, but it's not: it's a '97.... <insert face palm> Don't ask me how this could happen... fixed.
3. here i go again on my own.....going down the only bump i've ever known..... -Whitesnake mode- pfffffffff....
4. en ik gun het jou van harte. thx for the bump m8.
5. - and the first one for 2012! - also lowered price slightly.
6. as i'm selling a bass myself atm i can't help but wonder why you don't post any pics with your add? a series of good pics would definitely increase your chances of a quick sale imho. [edit] he, wacht eens even....
7. she sure is. thanks for the bump Kuz!
8. not even the common courtesy of a short reply? ah well....
9. I was wondering if anyone here has a decent recording of a fretless Overwater Progress or Perception bass? Love the looks and specs and the craftmanship that obviously goes into those basses but i haven't got the foggiest how they sound...
10. the original Clover brand was founded by German luthier Reinhard Jedanzik in the Eighties and built high end modern basses centered around SKC manufactured graphite necks. The same necks as used by Shack and Slapper basses btw. the modern Clover company was started by an ex-employee of Reinhard and has dropped the graphite necks all together and concentrates on Jazz clones and a couple of proprietary designs. all wood, no graphite. i recently sold a Clover Basstard 5 string with graphite neck that i'd played for a couple of years because it became redundant since i bought my Fbass BN5 and that was a really good solid bass with all the characteristics you'd expect from a graphite bass. i've also tried a couple of the modern Apeirons and the quality is still top notch and if had to chose between a Sandberg or a Clover i'd have a hard time choosing.
11. hey Claude, you've got mail.
12. hi guys, bassplayerpt: the only bass i would possibly consider for a trade would be a high end 5 string fretless with lines but otherwise it's cash only. Frederik: all hardware on Ken Smith basses is proprietary. http://www.kensmithbasses.com/options.html Geoff: i know the feeling... Chris: i was going to record some sound samples myself until Dutch forum members reminded me of this great little track on one of Geert's solo albums featuring the Smith and lots of Wooten-esque slap and tap stuff for which this bass just seems to be made. And Geert being the wonderful guy he is, was kind enough to let me use it in my add.
13. For sale: beautiful 1997 Ken Smith BSR4P four string bass. 3 part maple bolt-on neck with graphite inlaid bars pau ferro fingerboard flame maple and mahogany body Smith humbuckers and electronics (9V) Plays and sounds like a dream. Of course there is some playwear near the pickups and there is a small scratch (3mm) in the mahogany core at the bottom near the jack but otherwise the bass is undamaged and in good shape for it's age. This bass was originally a fretless but has been fretted by Belgian master luthier Paul Belgrado and the fretwork is absolutely top notch and worthy of such a high end classic. The bass comes with an aftermarket ABS case and a Smith guitar strap with straplocks. Sound sample: http://soundcloud.co...alck-spoonthief This track was written and recorded by BassChat member Wombatboter and is posted with his permission. The Smith is, of course, the lead slap bass line. Pictures: http://photobucket.com/kensmithbsr4p More detailed pictures of certain areas of the bass can be made on request but i'm a bass player, not a professional photographer so please bear with me. Price: € 1800,- ex shipping I am located in the south of The Netherlands where the bass can be tested.
