Vangelis - Memories of Green. Takes me right back to when I first heard it after buying the See You Later album in 1980.
I bought it on impulse, as there was something about the bleak album cover and the disturbing photo on the inner sleeve that resonated with the lonely teenager that was me in 1980. Initially I wondered what the hell I'd wasted my money on, as the first two tracks were distinctly meh.
Then Memories of Green started playing and I was utterly blown away. I played it over and over again, lying on my bedroom floor in the dark listening to the rain spattering against the window. It's a melancholy and lonely-sounding piece of music, but it struck a chord with me and I've never fallen out of love with it.
It is indeed a wonderful piece of music! Have you heard the version by The New American Orchestra? IMHO it's sublime.

Great player, loved his stuff with the pre poodle Whitesnake.

Probably a good idea to add sold to the title of the thread, then the admins can close the it.

It looks like they're using the same page builders as Northwest Guitars.

If I didn't already have one, this would be heading my way.
£400 with a case is an absolute bargain. GLWTS. Personally, I'd rather keep it than let it go for anything less.

I tried to order a bass the other day - been showing in stock for donkeys.
Ordered, but something said to call and confirm. Alas it had sold days before Got pretty excited then my hopes dashed!
Earlier this year I phoned them about a Tort Pickguard for a Precision they had advertised on their site, got an abrupt "They're out of stock!" and before I could ask if they were getting any more, I was listening to the dial tone. Yeah the guy may well have been dealing with a sale, but still, there's no need for that kind of crap.

My Classic Pro doesn't dive at all, the Vintage is a different matter, but it's easily managed!

If I didn't already own one, I'd have snapped this one up weeks ago, even before it was reduced to that bargain price.

As long as you go for either the Classic IV Pro (getting harder to find) or the Vintage Pro (now renamed the 60's bass), IMHO either one will wipe the floor with a Jazz all day long!

As the only owner and player of this neck, I can vouch for its “unshite-ness”.I chose it over some NOS tokai necks the shop had.
I was referring to my Hondo only mate and in no way intending to criticise your neck. and as pointed out the differences earlier, I don't consider yours a Hondo anyway.

I had a couple of the earlier Fender HS type Hondos years ago, I actually liked them, big baseball bat neck and hefty plywood body, I've used them on gigs no prob... worked for me 😁
Not wanting to hi-jack the thread any more I'll just say "Mine was shite!"

Ok thanks
PS my Hondo II P-Bass copy had the same truss rod feature ..
I had one of those late 70's Hondo monstrosities, it was my first ever bass back in 1980. It does look like a Hondo 2 neck, but the thing that throws it out is the headstock.
All the Hondo 2' Ps with the Fender style Headstock had a flat heel, it wasn't until Hondo changed the shape of their headstocks that they changed the shape of the heel to the more traditional curved shape.

I'd have had this if it was for sale two weeks ago! It looks more like a JV neck, though the machine heads aren't right and I don't see a hole for a rear strap button, my 83 JV had one! Did they discontinue that and change the Machine heads on the later JV's? I also had a 1985 SQ in 1987, it had the same machine heads as this, and truss rod access at the heel, but it also had a plugged tear drop on the front of the headstock and a skunk stripe.

Most bass players cant play it ,is that why you hate it .I love btw but cant play for it for Toffee.
I clearly stated the reasons why I don't like the song, so why would you think I'd have even entertained the idea of learning to play it?

They should have just given Colin Edwin a call. I can't imagine seeing them without him. On the subject of Glastonbury PT, are a band who to me just seem a little outside of the loop to play there, yet I do think they would go down a storm, especially with a set comprising of songs Stupid Dream through to Fear of a Blank Planet, and also convert a good few people who may have previously avoided them on account of their name.

Whenever I listen to Genesis' A Trick Of The Tail or Wind And Wuthering, I'm taken right back to the late 70's in Teesside,
hanging out with friends, and listening to an eclectic mix of music around each others houses on bitterly cold winter nights.
