1. I love Thunderbirds, I still have my 1998 Korean Epi and I'll never sell it, it's a beast! and it plays better than a Gibson I once borrowed. The only thing I found that the Gibson has over the Epi is the quality of pickups and a slightly more comfortable neck, another thing, if you are unfortunate enough to knock the headstock off an Epi (a common thing with Thunderbirds) you can replace the neck, whereas with the Gibson, it's curtains if you can't afford a good luthier. As Rayman says Gibson are over priced and their QC is not great at the moment, infact it's been dropping off for years. but then again so has Epi's especially since the Chinese got involved. I once saw an Arctic White which had been sent to a bloke that had the bridge so far out that the E string was actually off of the neck, how that got past QC is beyond belief. My advice is, if you go for an Epi try and pick up a Korean made one.

Anyway Pete Way backed the Epi over Gibson, saying they sound a lot better. and he has had had numerous Thunderbirds over the years from Vintage ones through to the 90's re issues.

2. I hope I've posted this is in the right place?

I have a Mighty Mite Precision neck sat here which I want to use.
I know it will fit a Squier body, but I'm finding it hard to get hold of one at the moment.
Does anyone know if it would fit any of the following Precision replica bodies?
Aria RTB
Westfield B1000
Jim Deacon
I don't wanna go throwing money away on something that will be as much use as a pet wasp.

Thanks :)

1981. Hondo II Precision. (Black / Black / Maple). Given away after purchasing a JV Squier.
1982. Hondo II Horrible small bodied thing. (Black / Maple). Sold a month after purchase.
1982. Vox Standard Bass. (Black / Maple). Used along side Hondo Precision sold after purchasing JV Squier.
1983. Squier JV Precision. (Sunburst / Tortoise / Rosewood). Sold in 1990, to fund furniture for marital home, sick as f***, gave up playing for 6 & half years.
1986. Shaftesbury Ric copy (White / White / Rosewood). Given free, sadly you could get a bus under the strings, I swapped it for an ounce of double zero two days later.
1996. Squier Silver Series Precision. (Cream / Black / Rosewood) Sold two years later to fund the next in line.
1997. Schecter Precision (Translucent Red/Black Metal scratchplate/Rosewood) Great bass, I've only ever saw one other and it sold for £700+ on ebay. sold it a year later to buy an Epiphone Thunderbird. It was a great bass, though it weighed the same as an upright piano.
2006. Squier Precision Special. (Black/White/Rosewood) Modded it and sold it in September, 2011.
1998. Epiphone Thunderbird IV. (Tobacco Sunburst/Rosewood) Sold in May, 2012

5. Hi all.
Stellah MHB-01 Machine Heads.
I'd urge anyone who may have been thinking of using them as a cheap option on a project to, think again.
I won a set from guitar-warehouse00 in a recent eBay auction, I paid 12 Euros, which worked out at around a kick in the arse off of £10. I thought, not bad for a set of cheapo machine heads. Anyway they arrived and I hoyed them on a Squier Precision and two of them locked up due to the gear cogs going out of sync with the tuning key (See Pic)
Have since bought a set of Wilkinson WJBL200's, which are the doggies dangly bits.

Just a quick question here.

http://www.dolphinmu...m_campaign=base

I've got a Squier P Bass Special and I want to change the pickguard on it, since it has the extra control knob where the input jack normally would be. Would I be able just to fit a standard P Bass pickguard or would I have to get one custom made?

Thanks in Advance
