  Nothing to worry about imho. It's done it for years (i bought it like it) and only shows when you play it with the master volume completely off - as soon as you get the tiniest volume going on it the noise disappears. Essex Amp Repairs serviced it and had a look but couldn't find anything wrong with it. They resoldered some dry joints and changed the valve just in case but its not that. I would be confident to have it back and Marks price is really good. I had a TD660 at the same time and the 650 is a much better amp.

  No worries buddy - its my old amp and is a good one. Serviced and valve changed just before i sold it to Mark. Great bit of kit - i was toying with the idea of buying it back from him 😂
