  1. I might be interested in this if it's still available at the end of the month - depending on what my bonus is like.

Would you be willing to ship it ay my expense? Being basically a flightcase it shouldn't need much in the way of packing.

  2. I don't think Mudvayne's bassist used a 5 string since the first album.

I used a 4 tuned to B standard in my old metal band as the guitarist were in drop B, so if I'd played a 5, which I did for a while, that would've been the equivalent of a high C as everything was down a 4th

  3. I would absolutely love a black Ripper, with a maple body and ebony fretboard, and I could probably afford one fairly soon, but a custom precision is at the top of my gas list right now.

    One day though......

Beautiful, one day I'll own a Wal, sadly that day is not today. Have a bump on me.

    +1
I don't know why I torture myself by looking at these threads

  5. Purchased from our own SK8 this arrived yesterday and it's a beast some of the sounds it produces are insane. The more extreme options wouldn't be particularly useful in many settings, but it is very versatile from a gentle overdrive, up to a very high gain fuzz.

I bought it to improve my tone for doing Hysteria live and it does the Muse sound very well.

I also had a lot of fun with the following signal chain:

B-standard tuned G&L L2000 (both pickups on, in series, active with treble boost) » EBS Multicomp in tube-sim mode » Metaldrive with the gain up » Tech 21 BDDI with the gain pushed into my mixer with headphones.

The filthy doom riffs I was playing with this set-up were great :-)

Peavey Grinds are very good! The stock pickups sound fairly good recorded direct into a desk too, but the upgrade options are almost limitless with them being EMG shaped. Only thing to note is the necks are VERY thin, so while they're fast/easy to play they take some getting used to!

I also would recommend a Shine. My first 6er was an active one of these and it was super comfortable to play. Again the pickups are EMG sized or jazz sized depending on what you go for so if you really feel the need to upgrade its easily done

It was your Sig / waxing lyrical about Peavey Grind s that put me onto them in the first place

  7. To fund my latest purchase I've got to move a couple of things on

    [s]Boss AW-3 dynamic Autowah
A good sounding and versatile Autowah pedal, inputs for guitar and bass; up, down and sharp modes for different tones of wah; a tap tempo mode and coolest of all a vocaliser. It's also got an input for an expression pedal to turn it into a rocker wah.
I bought this on a whim a few years ago when I got a tax rebate, but have barely used it (I swiftly came to the realisation that the pedal alone won't make me sound like Flea) so it's in as new condition - I think I've gigged it twice and taken it up a jam night a couple of times. These are going for £110 at Anderton's at the moment so I'm asking a respectable:
    £50.00 + p&p [/s] SOLD

    Dod FX91 bass overdrive
A good sounding overdrive kind of Timmy C sound, the controls are volume, blend, tone and drive; the blend and tone controls are very useful to keep you from dropping out the mix. This has been gigged, but is in good condition, box is a bit tatty though.
    £35.00 delivered

I'll try and get photos up tonight
