Will look at ordering one. Had my eye on them for a while, you've convinced me! Thanks doomed!
Also, it will put my mind at ease when using other cabs as we often do at backline share gigs, I know my own cabs can take what we do but sometimes I've had to drastically wind back on the bass when using other cabs. Be prepared to wait a few weeks if you do order, you won't hear anything after you order, your PayPal receipt will come through and unless you email Max you'll hear nothing till he ships, everything is built on order.

Tried it out this evening at practice, warp volume 12 as ever, it does what it says on the box. Tightened up the bottom end noticeably even to my not exactly sensitive ears, glad I took the plunge.

Nice!
I was thinking about getting one of these!
They sound interesting. Would you consider a review when you've had a chance to try it out properly?
Dont know about a review, that wouldn't be my forte, I'll let you know if I hear any significant difference though. 😄

Louder maybe, a little less top end possibly, if I remember rightly the compact had the kappalite 15 which had more mids and top end, whereas my Dubster has the kappalite 15lf which had not much top at all and acceptable mids, plus enormous amounts where it matters. I can't remember anyone complaining about much when running 2 15" compacts.

Just a bass and drums and unfortunately they're now no more.

I never owned any of their records but saw them a few times.
Got to be honest I've lost count how many times I've seen them now, but I've never seen them do a bad set, not bad for a band that doesn't practice together any more.

Gulp. It's thirty seven years since I saw Subhumans, brings joy to my heart that they are still going.
It's about 38 years since I started listening to them, always been on rotation on whichever was the device of the day. Always found them to be tidy guys too.

I went in pmt Bristol the day after boxing day and noticed the same thing, I've had good buys on a couple of basses from there in the past but if there's no starting point on display I'm not interested.

This is your starting point. "Anything else".., as our friends across the pond would say, "is gravy".
Agreed, we find ourselves in the same boat, we do it because we enjoy it, we record when we want to, we gig when we gig, we probably don't get as many gigs as we could but there is a strong ethos of no bum licking to any 'promoters' with us so... (I would add that we are not on an ego trip just too old to be messed around by the type of 'promoter' mentioned in the op of which there are many).

I've got a full size one, if the mini is as good you can't go wrong really, the pickups are monsters in the full size, really loud.
