I appreciate the humble and the simple. Sadly, I think the tone I like has a lot to do with the amp, which are too expensive for me.

If I was a serious upright player, I would probably pay any money I could towards a decent instrument.

Can't you buy a quieter fan? Folk often do for computers.

Often you get better discounts if you're buying multiple items. Or, ask for a nice lead or two to be thrown in when you buy an amp... Strings when you buy a bass etc.


To be honest, though, I do love unwrapping parcels. It's regression for me; childhood at Christmas.
