1. *** SOLD ***

Upgraded a number of my studio microphones a while back to some high-end alternatives (in this case Josephson C42's)...and I've been holding on to these as I still like them - but I've got to stop hoarding stuff - so this is the first set of microphones I'm going to put up for sale...

SE Electronics SE3 - matched pair
In as new/mint condition - only ever used in nice home studio environment. Always stored carefully in the case when not used.
These were the top-of-the-range SDC from SE Electronics & come complete with shock-mounts, stereo bar, nice flight case & matched pair test certificate.

Ideal pair of small condenser mics for drum over heads, pianos, acoustics guitar...etc... Also got great results using them on a jazz kit for snare drum/hi-hats.

I have the original outer packaging as well...

Postage should be around £10 with insurance - but I'll get an exact price if you're interested.

£200 to you lovely Basschatters!

And this one had to have a brand new capsule fitted when I got it (arrived damaged in the post) - so is 'as new'. This was the top-of-the-range SDC from SE Electronics & comes complete with a shock-mount & nice flight case (shows some superficial wear - which is what a case is for afterall).

Please note - the case isn't mis-shapen in this photo - it's just the camera lens distortion...! :)

2. Thanks for posting - that brings back some memories...
:)
My first decent bass was one of these in natural finish - it was bl**dy great!
Only sold it when I got my Wal Custom back in 1987. Golden days!
I think I know where the G&L ended up...I wonder what it's worth now I might be able to buy it back...
How much did you pay for this one?

That is without doubt a bargain price for what looks to be an 'investment' grade instrument.
Can't see it remaining un-sold for long!
IMHO, for this bass, £3500 is a VERY fair price. There's just no way that I can justify (even to myself) owing two 1966 Precisions.
Now if it was a 1956 of course ...
4. Proper hard cases for all of them. The vintage ones never get left out on stands as I know from experience that sunlight/UV fades the finish (especially the red in sunburst) & ages the plastic parts - especially the pickguards. And for me - it makes it so much easier to store them when you have quite a few... We moved house last year & it would have been a total nightmare if I'd not had case for all my basses. But it would be nice to have them all out ready to play - maybe I'll invest in one of those touring guitar racks...

5.
I'd be interested to kow what result you get as I want to do the same but I'd prefer the replacement black plate to have the T'bird logo on it.
I got a black one from the US for my T-Bird...and I really like it. BUT - would so much prefer to have one with the logo on...
I contacted Gibson in the US to see if they would supply them - but no go.
I'm sure someone could 'clean up' if they could supply one.
