Recently found a beaten up but largely original Fender Musicmaster bass. Never had a shortscale before. At some stage of it's life it had been stripped, stained and then brush laquered. Despite the abuse I really liked the way it played and sounded. It appears to be almost all original - bridge, pots, pickup and knobs - in fact only the scratchplate is obviously not original and I've replaced the missing tugbar and installed a new nut. Also had a go at refinishing - since the damage was already done! I went for a matching headstock just because the stain was so deep into the wood. What do you reckon?
