1. If something looks too good to be true...

I just emailed that Amazon seller and got this reply:

Thank you for your email.  Our Amazon account has been hacked so please don't purchase anything from there as the items don't exist.  We are working with Amazon to rectify the situation.  We apologise for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

Kelly

2. Victor Wooten played that same social club last year. It was packed-out and a great gig!

He's doing a social club in Leeds. Hope the members turning out for a pint of mild with a couple of comics, a drag act and then a few strippers are prepared for Stanley's face-melting fusion...

3. I have the MS60b going into an MS70cdr, which gives me an incredible range of effects in a very compact footprint. I am very impressed with the quality of these units.

If it stacks up OK the pedal might well be able to stand in for my board for some gigs, although I'll need to look into just how far you can cycle through the alphabet in A/B mode!

You can go right through the alphabet, so up to 26 patches in a cycle.

4. You should be able to get a decent used Yamaha kit for that price too, more or less on a par with Roland. If you really want to bring an electronic kit to life, get a decent USB computer sound interface, connect the kit via midi and listen on headphones using drum sample software, eg. EZDrummer, Superior Drummer or BFD.

5. Boss GT6b multi-effects processor in very good condition. Little-used. Complete with power supply and Line-6-branded shoulder bag.
Price includes UK postage or collect Newcastle for an extra special discount!

TC Electronic Triple-C Multi-band Compressor (Stereo version) - £85 (boxed/excellent)
Works great on bass.

Plus postage (probs about £8) or collect Newcastle.

7. The MarkBass is heavier (20Kg versus 13Kg), but it's still a pretty easy one-handed carry which means I'm a one-trip pony from the car.
For me this is a pretty-much perfect PA-supported rig for small stages (ie. most function work).
