Nightfly's been at the top of my favourite albums list for about 20 years . I think of it as an act of genius rather than just an album. Good stuff !!!
-
Heathens ! That bass shouldn't be dismembered!!
-
I'd certainly go to this one with no bad thinkings behind also. Nice looking bass
-
THats's a beauty !! Wish I had some trade bait

I did a search for lesbian and it found the above post LOL -
Sorry Nick - stole the name from the Gerry Anderson series UFO in which Ed Straker is the main character !
I see lol -

Off topic here Ed , but you don't happen to be Phill Straker's son do you? -
Is that piece of ash flamed or is it just me?
Are you asking if "you" are flamed? lol -
Not quite at the same time... but it is near enough and it was built to the same spec as Dan (Humphries) to give him his full name!) saw "The Bentley" just before the bass show in Manchester last year (at least I think it was last year!)
The attached is Dan's Spitfire at Hove... but I believe it has been stripped down since then to have the burst added around the edge like mine.
Dan's a top bloke! I have met him a few times and he says hi to me now and again on the old facebook. Got to keep the family in touch eh? Again, he's an EBS fan.

Yes he was playing through a small but huge sounding ebs rig .. hd350 and a 2x10 . -
bewilders me, what kind of person would spend that much on a second hand instrument?
Someone that wouldn't miss that much money -
I think during the 90's Chris Amoo was more bothered about his Crufts stardom lol
-
I saw a close relative of this bass last week . I might be mistaken but I think it was one of the ones Bernie built at the same time.
Owned by a fella named Dan ( he's a member on here) and it sounded absolutely thunderous!!
Looked ok too -
It sounds like a very tasty bass. I'm looking forward to seeing piccies too
-
I guess I shouln't have slept on it lol
-
Do you have a ballpark figure in mind? That's stunning!!
-
Never been there, and don't think I'll bother ! lol
Hi Nick, they will indeed, however there have been a number of "reported incidents" of G&L bridges being ripped off when using the string through bridge option. They are only secured by 2 screws.
As it is probably the Bass that gets used the most, I am not going to risk it...
I've heard of an incident of that also . But it was on a tribute .
I've strung my L2500 through bridge for getting on for 5 years and haven't had a problem
That said ... better to be safe than sorry
edit . I see yours is a tribute and I'm no way saying that's a bad thing . I've still only heard of one incident -
Wont they even fit your G&L if they're strung through bridge?
-
It doesn't annoy me, does that mean I should stay home more? lol
-
Anyone know if there's a way to watch it live online?
-
Looks like a nice little set up . Got a price in mind?
Nick.
