3.
there are certain posts that make my day, and will remain timeless classics, one for the quote board methinks! :)
i am humbled, my poor grammar usally diverts from the post.

    thanks phil.

  4.
That wouldn't be mine, would it?
He threw the wads of cash on the floor as he quffed, snorted and laughed so hard his top hat went slanted and his monacle fell from his eye whilst shouting "pick up my pocket change you pauper!".
His friends from the hunting and polo club all pointed at me and joined in the abuse. "a man with out the finest silks, glutenist feasts and a hagard wench on his arm is not a man in my eyes" they taunted. "a land owner he is not, thereofre i shall take as a please and return nothing" another added. A dark December day that'll hang heavey in my heart for ever more.
However the peasant revolt is nigh......

so i suppose yes is what i am getting at.

  5. Stingrays are just amazing basses. I reget getting rid of mine but i needed the money and a certain BCers brother in law really wanted it. I will never own one again* but the tone will live with me forever.

*one can only assume due to a ) being piss poor all the time and b ) being a tight get.

  6. i was in a band once and we where offered money (for a gig we where doing for free) not to play "you guys are my best friends but i really don't want you to spoil my birthday". We where that bad (but we all still claim we where too rock n roll for the people), but we said "f*** you, we're playing" - got pissed, played, worst gig ever.

    does that count?

  7. my first without a registered adult person was terrorvision and joy rider....94 (maybe, when eve ythe 'big' album was out just before the whales and dolphins album), at Bratford st Georges Hall. Got 2 plectrums and a snog*.

    *seperate incidents.

  8.
Another big fan of Jeff's here!

I bought a fretless bass purely because of Jeff's fretless bass parts on Ten and Vs and even ended up in PJ tribute act at one point

Great player and great fretless tone.
i like you.

  9.
Jeff is a great band bassist and brilliant all round muso. He seems to vary songs from time to time live and try new ways of playing old stuff. His sound is perfect for the band and he seems to have a revolving door of about a dozen of so basses but seems to have played a P throughout the new album. I reckon his playing has improved and grown every tour and he seems much tighter with Matt Cameron than he did with any of the other drummers. I've been a huge fan since Vitalogy and listen to nothing but PJ Official bootlegs when at the gym.
very true. liner notes to backspacer "Jeff - p bass" or something :)

  10. i am a pearl jam nut and picked up bass mainly beacuase of Jeff. absolute legend for me. can't say enough about him, outstanding live, sometimes flashy and clever sometimes simple. Later stuff is stripped right down.

  14. Just had to give a shout out to Nicholas Harmer. Such a simple but effective bass lines and a killer growl for good measures. If you don't know their stuff then check them out. Even the new the song form a vampire film is good and the bass is awsome.

    Nicholas, we salute you!
