  1. Maybe there was a little confusion with my original post...

How do the Stomps play with other pedals? Ideally I'd be using it with a darkglass B7K, X7, Meatbox, fuzz potentially another octave.

I'm more interested in the ability to ditch my 610 and mesa 400+ and use the amp sims along with a IR. Have people struggled in venues with monitoring? I am currently on ears but I do like having the "feel" of a cab behind me.

  2. I'm SO close to pulling the trigger on a Stomp. How many of you have ditched your full stacks for these?

I see a couple of you guys are using these with things like the B7K. How do they compare? I love my distortion sounds with my current rig. Have many of you guys used things like a micro synths and sub/meatboxes with the HX stomp, do they play well?

  3. Letting my Fender American Vintage 63 Precision go!

It’s fitting with a double stop hipshot Xtender and a Montreux celluloid pick-guard. I have the ashtray covers and original case. It’s been well looked after but has a few dink’s and some slight buckle rash due to the thin flash coat of nitro. It plays great, nice and resonate and has that true precision tone.

Open to offers as I’ve seen something I’ve had my heart set on for a very long time.

PRICE DROP £999 FOR A LIMITED TIME

  4. All this info is so helpful. I’m looking at building it all into a rolling rack, so the x32 would be racked along with the splits rack mounted (labeled? with a 16 way loom out to give to FOH.

Im just trying to work out if there’s any other options out there. I do like the idea of having a closed system that’s going to sound almost “there” once it’s wired up and plugged in, obviously venue and mics are going to be factored into the equation. A lot of the songs will need click intros for guitars etc so having a good mix is vital for everything running smoothly. I’ve done too many gigs with dodgy monitor mixes through clapped out wedges.

  5. Line up pecking order will be very varied and the vast majority of the time we’ll be with our own FOH guy.

Band line up will be; Drums, bass, 2x guitars, 5x vocals and various backing tracks.

Ideally we’ll be needing the full line up in our ears along with click and tracks. The Mackie looks great but is about double the current budget I’ve got at the moment. I was thinking line splits would be slightly easier (and more cost effects) because we won’t have to take a whole mic package along to gigs with us.

With the x32, correct me if I’m wrong - you can use the TRS outs along with the aux outs so 5 stereo mixes shouldn’t be a issue right?

The XR18 can only really give 4 stereo mixes 1-6 aux (3) and the LR Main out (4) I’m not sure were the 5th would come from?

  6. IEM rig warriors!

I'm looking for some advice. I'm currently peicing together build list for a IEM splits rack. The rack will be for a 5 piece rock band all on ears. So far I'm looking at 2 Behringer ULTRALINK MS8000 for splits and either a x32 rack or xr18 with routers etc etc. Budget is a factor!

Now what I'd like to know... How practical are splits racks for gigs, who here has toured with one? Do they create more hassle than they are worth - especially if you aren't headline shows?

Are stereo mixes are luxury or a necessity? Have xr18 users found a way to send a separate stereo dedicated mix out of the headphone output without using up a mix bus? Is the x32 worth splashing out on?

  7. Going to be sad to see this one go!

I am the only owner and it has always been kept in a custom made padded cover. One of the nicest sounding full tube heads I've ever used. The drive is something you need to hear.

The head is in a practically mint condition, no break downs or hiccups. It's not been thrashed. The Majority of its outings have been for a couple of tours and shows. There's a slight cosmetic bump and a tiny 3mm knock apart from that it's very very clean. Absolutely amazing tone and enough volume to destroy anything in its path. Will upload more pictures ASAP.

Only interested in trades/part exchanges for a Mesa Boogie 400+, Gibson Grabbers/Rippers but it's always worth asking...

Willing to post at buyers expense!

  8. From my experience - If you're playing to click, just sync the lights up to your tracks so you can hit play and don't have to worry about anything/anyone. No foot switch needed.

With regards to programming the lights, if you only need fairly basic things like washes and colour changes you cold just address them all to the same address. It depends how adventures you want to get.

  9. What more could you want from a jazz? Ash Body, block and bound neck, "bullet" truss rod, gorgeous grain.
I've added a hipshot Xtender, Aguilar 70's pickups and taken the gloss down to a matt finish on the neck due to it feeling a bit sticky. There's a couple of dings n' scratches - I can get pictures if needed? It's a toured bass. Includes the ash try covers, thumb rest and hard case, I might even have the hang tags and case candy somewhere.

Looking to shift this fairly sharpish as I've sound 'the one' and want to nab it before it goes.

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Will happily post at buyer expense!
