Could somebody please buy this amp, it really cheeses me off to see a huge amount of over hyped gear sell within days while this amp - classic bassman tube pre with some smart "upgrades" coupled with 600 watts at 4 Ohm - remains unsold. This is a class bit of kit that will put a lot of Trace, Markbass, Ampeg and whatever amps to shame.

Awesome sounding gear, but too expensive and I have seen too many basic design flaws/electronic issues to justify their prices. My MPulse 600 for instance had some extremely dodgy inner wiring (bought NEW), after it was corrected it was an awesome amp... but clearly QC was not great.

To be quite honest, the same holds true for Ampeg. The well known "hum" in the SVP Pro and SVT Pro's are a good example, but a least Ampegs are not hugely expensive, just expensive.

I have had many full tube amps, and although I was very happy with the sound of every single one my GB STM900 gives me 95% of the tonal satisfaction with 2000% more comfort in my lower back.

If you want full tube, I have long settled on Mywatt (German Hiwatt Clone), lightweight (for a full tube amp) all hand wired and cheaper that an SVT.

Just sold an Ampeg pre to Harry....... an absolute pleasure to deal with, prompt payment, really excellent comms and the added bonus of dealing with my namesake.....

Would recommend Harry to anyone and would deal with him again without any hesitation whatsoever.

I have had the single overdrive pedal version - the 808B - on my board for 2 years now. Seriously the best overdrive pedal (low to medium gain) out there at the moment IMHO. The Rodenberg boost is very clean and usable, so this double pedal should be pretty much AWESOME.

Ooh, just noticed this, you really are too kind mate. It was my pleasure and I felt obliged to do what I could, just because it was the right thing to do. Hope someone would do the same for me if I was in your situation.

The continuing saga that is called "GAS" brings me to the following.

I have an SVPCL (Grey face) in really good nick and an SVP Pro (Black face) in worn but full working nick, both with new TungSol tubes.

The CL I have had for a number of years, the Pro I bought off BC about a month ago.

Would like to offload these by either selling or trading as I prefer the old school tones of my Trace V-Type.

Yeah, PJ5...... I almost sold mine a few months back. Quite a few gigs later I am so happy I kept it, truly the best passive bass I have ever played. Actually had Mr Lull himself create a fully passive wiring harness to turn my M5V into a V5 now as well. Passive Mike Lull's.......... Lurvely!

BUMP for a great fuzz pedal

Don't do it... most heavy FX users have sold pedal boards et al to get all in one solutions only to find out that important fx - like overdrive and distortion - are utter sh*t on multi/modelling solutions. I for one could have saved myself a lot of trouble and money if I hadn't gone down this route in the first place.

Just my 2 pennies worth.......

Really nice pedals for a good price by the way, so if you indeed want to sell you will find interested parties I'm sure.

Okay, since buying an Earthbound Beast this is no longer my preferred bass fuzz. It is a hell of a great super mega fuzz however and it should not be sitting idle.
