Kay K-2B

im looking for a Kay K-1b to buy its weird how u find the thread ur looking for just after u make ur own http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=138670
3. I was at a festival about a month ago and heard about 15 different basses through the same amp (evo 11 300w ashdown 4x10 the same model that i own) and took the opportunity to find a good sounding bass that i know will work well with my amp so i listened and found the bass with the best tone so i asked the bassist what the bass was and was told it was a Kay k-1b a cheaply made "argos" style bass from the eighties or sum thing and that i could pick one up from ebay for around £20 but no luck so far. what im asking is does anyone know of one for sale? has any one had one? has any one had one that sounded particularly bad? just any info about the bass would be cool like how they get such a warm sound. this bass would be for warm dubey funky souley sounds if that helps. thank you
4. yea this link got me onto the behringer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JYmf5qRHDI xgsjx good point i havent tested my mac with any midi interface cuz its quite new. hardware synth module sounds good to less faffing about getting set up
5. when you say "Your system should be fine for recording." is that because you can quantize after you've recorded or because you wouldn't want to rely on it in a live environment? i ask because my aim is to use it in a live environment thanks
6. i use reason for midi sequencing. cubase is faffy but good for recording and midi sequencing pro tools is excellent for recording not so great for midi sequencing logic is very good at alot and hardly any faff, and u can export tracks in seconds as apposed to pro tools and maybe cubase that makes u wait the entire duration of the track. thats my take on the recording software that ive used so far on another note i used the ear master 5 free trial the other day i only spent about an hour on it and i have actually noticed an improvement, £30
7. ok do u think a smaller program would reduce the latency because logic is a pretty big program, reason maybe?, i would be using a 2ghz mac book 2 gbs ram with an m- audio firewire solo external sound card do u think that would be able to cope? if not i could still use the laptop setup for a after rumble effect maybe? thanks
8. hey guys im new to fx pedals but im starting to want to imitate dnb (dark and heavy), dub and dubstep bass lines so i was thinking of getting a bass to MIDI box and sending the midi signal threw a synthesizer in logic and also getting a Behringer BSY600 and using that with a foot pedal, just wondering if any one could see any problems or give me an insight into these devices? thanks
9. it can easily sound tiny, but i love slap bass if your playing solo it adds so much percussion and if your tight with the drummer it can sound amazing.
