  I know it's only business but it is galling when it happens.
  It's not happened to me but I've seen it happen on basses that have caught my eye.

Parcelled up bass to send to Belgium via DPD, attached customs documents in clear plastic sleeve. Bass rejected and returned to me a few days later, no explanation and no indication the >£100 paid (fully insured for a £2k bass) will even be partially refunded. Brexit, yay
