They were still good! I remember Led Zep played for about 3 hours.

yeah it did drag on a bit at the end as people were leaving - guess theres only so much stoned out of yer box guitar playing a crowd can stand 🤣 - however ...... i have still to this day, yet to see a bass and drums combo as formidable as JB/JPJ

Hi @steve-bbb , I have a question regarding power. The Apogee Jam is powered from the iPhone which can cause it to drain relatively quickly. I looked for a double lightning splitter for my phone (so I could be on the charger and the Jam simultaneously) but the phone said “This function is not supported”. I see a power input on the iRig Pro - does that mean it wouldn’t have the power issue?

I use mine with ipad so considerably better than phone battery - my irigpro is fairly old now and does not have the power through option - It runs on a 9v pp3 battery and is very low consumption battery seems to last for ever 😁

  4. FOR SALE (preferrably as one big lump :) )

    Head Lump consists of

    4U rack case

    LH500

    dbx160a

    korg pitchblack

all in good working order - this rig has been regularly gigged up until 18 months-ish ago and ive now decided to have a wee rest break from gigging - no cracks in the case and all 4 clasps fully working and tight and secure

the LH500 has been modded by a decent local techy chap (tutt-technology.co.uk to give him a plug) - because the pitchblack and the compressor both have rear outputs i thought it would be a neater solution to mod the head to have inputs at the back as well as front (which you can see in one of the pics) - keeps the cabling nice and tidy to the rear - the blank jack plug which you see in the front input is a blank plug which is used to switch off the front input if you choose to use the rear - the rear mod matches the front with both passive and active inputs - also modded on the rear of the LH500 is two speakon sockets have been added as i prefer these to jacks - mr tutt also replaced a couple of the pots which were getting a bit noisy

also with the rack case is a 5 gang rack mount multiblock (with two spare in its current config)

the cabs are both standard hartke fare extremely reliable - not as much mid punch as the 410 cab but surprisingly powerful and with a much better low end than the 410 - there is a small mod to both these cabs - the four screws on the rear plate and the corresponding four screws internally have had washers with spring washers added - one of them decided to vibrate loose a while back and was causing noise and managed to track it down to loose vibrating screws - since the mod the noise issue has completely going, the cabs are in good condition with only one small chunk in the tolex which have tried to show in photo and a few superficial marks - you can see in the pics the condition of the corner protectors that these cabs have not been thrown around

the cabs are both easy weight to carry but the head and case is heavier that the cabs but still quite managable  - tech blurb on the cabs can be found here http://www.samsontech.com/hartke/products/cabinets/hydrive-hd-cabinets/hd112/

have had plenty of compliments on this cab and head, overall it is very clean and non-coloured tone, FOH guys particularly like the dbx160a as it prevents any unwanted booms and surprises going through the desk

ideally would like to sell the rig complete but more than happy to split the two cabs and the head case - but would prefer not to splitting the head components apart for sale have tried that before and never works out imho

based in medway towns, serious interest welcome to come and try with your bass, am prepared to drive up to about hour from medway towns (as it guarantees quick delivery and is cheaper and safer than courier!

for both cabs only am asking £360

    for head/comp/tuner/rackcase am asking £370

    for the complete rig £600

  5. It is unfortunately part of the covers band compromise. Even with tributes or originals there are always going to be some numbers which will not be enjoyable to play but the crowd demands (and pays your wages)

If you really object strongly then maybe best move on to another musical venture. Imho the only musical venture where you stand a realistic chance of eliminating this issue entirely is going solo and even then you might end up rubbing yourself up the wrong way if you are super fussy and self critical

    Hope this helps

Videos on YouTube saying how these amps are not underpowered if they are set up correctly so if that's putting anyone off then they might be worth a look to put your mind at ease. Seems like a decent price to me. GLWTS.

    thanks will have a look

i did try and keep the low end down and allso on the bass as mostly played actives through it - didnt do it often but prob also my expectations of having something that can match a class A and not to assume that similarwattages of A and D will give commpaorable results

tonally it is a good match imo to all the rest of the valve preamp hartke series
