I always had hand sweating problems: hyperhidrosys. It is possible to cure this (in a chirurgical way, etc.) but it costs a lot of money. So I wash my hands with Marseille soap (the real on, not the liquid one) before playing bass and it helps me to sweat less, and somedays, thaks to the Marseille soap, I don't sweat at all. It might help you too. But if you never sweat like today, you should go see a doctor, shouldn't you?

ESP makes an LTD Vintage (with a "distressed finition", like a "road worn" one) PJ model. I never played it but I read some good reviews on it. You'll find it for less than 400 £ on the Internet.

Hi tomb. You made me discover a band ! What an awesome bass sound ! I made some searches an I found that Jared Warren uses a Barker Bassmaster ([url="http://www.malekkoheavyindustry.com/index.php/b-assmaster"]this thing[/url]). But, he uses a Boss Super Overdrive ([url="http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=133"]this thing[/url]) which goes into a separate channel which connects to a Sunn Beta Bass. Plus, he splits the channel a third time into a Crate 2x12 combo. Thats all. The Bassmaster is perhaps a good way to take to imitate his sound ? I don't think that he uses the Bassmaster and his intricate thing with the Super Overdrive together. Let's just expect for the other Basschatters opinions !

Hello from France to all Basschatters ! My name's Chloe and I'm nearly 16. I live in Strasbourg ([i]beer, sauerkraut, sausages FTW[/i] ) I started playing bass two years ago. I'm so happy to join this forum because now I can improve my english (sorry for my mistakes...) and talk about bass and other things related to music ! This is so exciting ! I'm the proud owner of a Squier Jazz Bass (Affinity series, but plays like butter, a yummy one ! ) and a Fender Rumble 15. Not the best to start, but better than nothing ! I don't have a preference in music styles, I had grown with jazz, reggae, funk and "rock" (from pop rock to metal), a great melange, thanks to my parents... But I enjoy playing simple basslines as much as the most technical ones ! Errr, what should I say... Dunno... (yeah, my pseudo is I.dunno 'cause I didn't know which one I could take... ) So !
