This chap has been used by a BC'er recently and was very good.

Called Graham today, seems like a good guy, thanks for the referral :)

2. I was hoping someone could recommend me a good UK luthier who could do this for me

A 4 string maple telecaster shaped body in gloss black
Heel cut for a status graphite p neck, using a 6 bolt neck plate
Routing for two humuckers, compatible with the modern player pick-guard:

Routing for active electronics and battery compartment
String through body

Hi Jay. Only just saw your post mate. Sorry I'm looking for a straight up sale. In need of the cash. Especially now I have a leaking workshop and my car just cost me 500 bucks :-(

Open to serious cash offers ladies and gents. Don't make me flea bay this. Pleeeease!

BB415 5 string, I was going to buy this myself but i've been distracted by something guitarded :)

5. Nahh it's definitely the pickups, there is something wrong with them since there's not a huge difference between 0 and 10 on the tone pot. Could be the pot itself but I doubt it...

I suppose I could change both but i've never done either before so it'd be a little adventure :)
I installed Wizards when I went down the same route, and they're still in my '87 ST which does the business in that respect.
Which model?

6. I'm new to sludge/down tempo/doom but a friend wants me to play in his band, I found my standard pups are mudding up quite easily with my custom fuzz pedal.

So I was wondering what I should go for, something passive and mid heavy?

I don't really want to go active unless it's a really good idea...
