2.
BTW Alex, I hope the EA Micro 300 wasn't seriously damaged and the radio is back working again. I wouldn't mind coming back to have a go on it sometime with the EBS neo212.
hi steve yea just a fuse... all hunky dorey now al
 3.
Oh I think the gallery will find there's still plenty of competition. It will just be largely interweb based
ok so take the argument to its ultimate conclusion... internet sales will always be cheaper due to fewer overheads.. so people keep buying from the net so more shops go out of business.. where then do you go to try new gear...? or get your basses set up/repaired...? or your amp fixed when it stops working... shipping it backwards and forwards gets costly.. everyone wants to get the most for their money.. but with a shop you can see what you are buying... try it...compare and get advice. At the end of the day we as a shop will always try and get close to or match any sensible prices out there but its not always possible a
 4.
I know who you mean, i think his name was Chris maybe, and he owned it. It used to be great in wapping, and the guys really cool. I remember they gave me a free t shirt (elites) and a set of bass strings every time i went in. Was great, and the had in house repairs and upgrades. Its a shame to see it go, but it went when it moved from wapping, in my opinion. I think the owner made enough cash and just sold it.
I managed the BC for a few years while it was in Wapping.. Grant was Canadian and general manager... Chris ran the workshop and Barry was the owner... a

 6. Alex, good to see you a few weeks back when Ped and I dropped in one Saturday to oogle the Vigier. Looks like I'll be bringing the Smith 6 to you to sell on consignment if it doesn't sell here.
good to see you too....cool.... more than happy to try and sell her for you... be good al
 7.
Sorry Alex - didn't mean to be rude! What I was driving at is that you're away from all the other shops in the Camden area, and - unless you already know that The Bass Gallery is there - you're unlikely to spot it as you go by and, even if you do, you may well assume that it's closed. Neon! That's what you need! A great big f*ck-off flashing sign. In pink.
im working on it... but u have no idea how expensive pink neon is
 8.
I wanted to buy a couple of Comfort Strapps last month. I work quite close to the Bass Cellar (Denmark Street) but they stock the Bass Centre's own-brand version of the same, which apparently they get as some sort of freebie through other trading between the shops. I'd guess that's why you're having problems getting your strap through the Bass Centre - they sell their own competing product. Anyway, the BC strap was quite nice but I really wanted genuine Comfort Strapps. I've heard all good things about the Gallery in Camden so I called them, and picked up my straps on the way home that evening. I liked what I saw of the Gallery but blimey! what a difficult place to find / park near / gain entry to. By the time I got through the door, I was half expecting someone to ask me to show my invitation ...
Hi.. we aren't that hard to find really, 5 mins from the tube, straight up Camden Rd and right into Royal College St... there a buzzer on the door to buzz people in.. and we have security to stop theft and smash and grabs... parking is pay and display all around the area.. and plenty of it... but you can always call and we would be happy to help with any enquiries. Invitations... hmm theres an idea... alex
