1. Mr bassman. The a, d and g sound good to me, from what I've heard I'd probably keep my Spiro e anyway. If you find them let me know what you'd want for them? Thank you.
2. Hi ubassman. My work is mainly pizz. At the moment I have a helicore hybrid d and g and Spiro e and a. I play an old German swell back which is quite bright and punchy sounding, but I'm looking for something with a bit less tension and a darker sound, mainly on the A D and G. Am I barking up the wrong tree here?
3. I'd like to try these strings. Does any of you have a used set for sale?
4. Thanks for that. This test was done on one bass, I'm trying to get a general idea of what different people's experiences are. As we all know.... No two basses respond in the same way. A nice bit of info though. Thanks.
5. I'm thinking of fitting some bridge adjusters, does anyone have any opinions as to how this could affect the tone of my bass? Or whether its worth it or not? Cheers.
6. Right now I have Spiro mediums E and A and helicore hybrids D and G. I'm thinking anima instead of garbos because I heard they bow better. I think ill still keep the Spiro E and maybe the A for a bit of power in the low end. I am a bass player after all. I'm just trying to find something a bit softer but not dead sounding in the upper register.
7. I'm thinking of trying out some velvet animas. Does anyone have some old ones for sale? Or does anyone have a particular opinion/experience of them. Thanks.
8. Tell him to buy a H clamp. It's a really good light weight Mic stand that clips onto the bass, so you can close Mic the bass with pretty much any Mic, and you don't have to worry about him knocking the Mic. It works for me. I think I costs about £80. Stick a 57 or 58 in it, problem solved?
9. I live in Bath and I would have it, but I do believe in first come first served. Pm me if it falls through. Tom.
10. No, just normal numbers. Does that mean that they're not Superflexibles?
11. I've been given these strings and I have no idea what they are, the silks are the same colour on both ends and the strings feel quite floppy. I hope one of you fine folks can help me out. Thanks. Tom.
12. Hello. I need a new gig bag for my db, I don't want something that's going to fall apart after 1 year and I don't really want to spend hundreds of pounds. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks Tom
13. Go to Malcolm Healy in Sutton, south London. I went all over looking for my Bass, well that's everywhere from Turners southwards and I have to say he's the man, honest fair and got a good selection of DBs. Give him a call.
14. Chris, try Malcolm Healey, When I was looking for my Bass I went everywhere and I can safely say that Malcolm is the man to talk to. His DBs are a bit over your budget, but not all of them, when I was there he had a Bass for £700 that sounded great. It would be wrong to buy a Bass without at least giving him a call. Tom
15. Really! If you'd like to sell them, how much would you want for them? And just out of interest... What is your opinion of them? Cheers Tom
16. Chris I think that Silver Slaps are a much lower tension and nylon wound, whereas the Honeys are a more normal tension and chrome tape wound. Hope that helped. Tom.
17. I'm after a couple of used Olivs to try out. At £90 a pop I think I'd like to try out some used ones first. Cheers Tom.
18. I bought these strings a few months ago, put them on my bass and after one practice I decided that they weren't for me, so I took them off and they've been in their box ever since, so good as new really. They cost me £85 so how does £50 posted sound. Cheers Tom
19. I really want to try these strings but they just cost so much new. So I'm looking to try some oldies. Anyone?
20. I've got a set of Innovation Honey solid core. Two weeks old. I'd like to try some Silver Slaps or anything that's kind of soft. Any takers?
21. Do you still have the cab? How far are you from great bar, brum?

23.
Gallien-Krueger 112MBX cab for sale. Small compact 12" extension speaker originally designed to give extra headroom to the 150MBS combo. But will be just as good as a stand alone cab under a small head to give the smallest rig possible but with great sound. As with all my stuff, condition is perfect. £150 incl shipping.
Does this cab make a big difference in volume when using it with the mb150 combo?
24. Hello. Do you still have your Bryant bass for sale? It sounds great. Many thanks Tom Allen 07983 629 478
