1. I'd steer clear, at least for now. Things seemed to go belly up for them a coupe of years back >> http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/directory/dr-bass
Frustratingly, their cabs have had rave reviews.
I hope whatever the cause of the problems was has been dealt with and that Dr Bass are back on track soon.

2. I won too! I don't win anything either, quite chuffed!
Not sure what I'm being sent, perhaps there'll be something waiting for me when I get home, I hope it's at least a 5 string set otherwise I'll need to buy a low B to get started :)
Looking forward to trying these out though, have heard very good things.

That makes my brain ache lol

It’s not actually all that complicated ;)
I approach it like this:
Set the tone to get the fundamental sound, then use the low filter to dial in a bit more detail, low mids etc, this can obviously effect the brightness of the sound, to I’ll pop the treble boost if necessary (useful for bright/aggressive sounds).
The mid boost is useful depending on what you end up doing with the low filter, you can use it to get a bit more pop back into the sound.

You can obviously set the low filter per pickup and blend the two to create a more complex sound too.

I'll be bringing it along to the London Bass Guitar Show if you fancy a shot on it...

This gets my vote for bass of the year that I shouldn't like but I do!

Thanks guys, I'm most chuffed with this bass.
I should also have some sound samples sorted before I go back to work on the 5th of January too.

The build quality is really good, build like the Genz Benz Streamliner Amps.
The Amp chassis is made from metal, only the backside is plastic.

Some knobs are illuminated, when activ:

The Sound is a bit like "vintage", a lot of low end and nice mids. I like it to compare the sound with the Streamliner, but the Veyron has the better equalizer, because this one is easier to use. The ability to select the center frequency of the mids is very helpful.

Thanks mate, sounds very interesting!

I absolutely love that....it has changed my perception about what I actually like in an ACG bass.

It is quite different from the norm, quite aggressive looking, but it sits beautifully on the lap too, incredibly versatile instrument.

That looks fantastic... suitably different as well...

Does this have the fancy pick ups and filer EQ?

Wish I could've gone Uber, but sadly out of my price range, for now...
This has a PB split coil in the neck position and an RFB MM style pickup with coil switching in the "Sweet Spot".
The preamp is the new DFM one, but without the high mid/treble filter module, this one instead has two mid filters stacks, one per pickup and a passive tone with various switching options:
low mid boost, treble boost, active/passive and series/parallel/singlecoil for the RFB pickup.
Should keep me busy...

Can we get some sound samples please? :)

"Patience Danielsan, Focus Power".
But yeah, I'll try and get something done soon, still at work with the bass sat beside me in its lovely Fusion F1 bag/case. Its killing me not being able to just play it!

After a money scare recent this went up for sale, but something else is sold and I get to keep this.
Still does the round at rehearsals. The 33" scale and the weight make for long playing periods an absolute breeze. I will be changing the passive wiring that Alan prescribes to the traditional Vol, Vol and Tone. The rotary system is nice but something about either or systems bug me. And series switching isn't my thing at all.

Excellent news mate!
You still never posted some pics though ;)
