5. Rehearse South London, was in New Cross but house moves etc mean maybe London Bridge, Croydon, Streatham or similar now.
6. High speed bump. Come on, there must be someone in London area who fancies this?
7. BUMP - price drop 2100 ovno. Might accept part exchange plus cash.

9. Fancy trading up for a jawdroppingly nice USA Parker Fly bass with flame top? http://basschat.co.u...ery-rare-l1475/

11. I have been thinking Warwick or Spector possibly (so far), or possibly a Sub Ray, but will look into the suggestions offered. Has to be a 4 ideally, I don't get on with the extra width of 5s, and I will never use the top string in this band (hell, I only need the bottom 2 strings for 99% of the material, LOL!) Not sure a P-Bass will do the necessary overtones and clunk tho. Anyone got any opinions on Cort Curbows for this application?
12. Hi. I'm currently depping in a downtuned band, and using my trusty Steinberger XM tuned to low B/E/A/D. I am unhappy about taking this expensive beauty on the road round the toilet circuit in case of loss or damage, and i am looking for 4 STRING recommendations around the 200-300 quid range (used price) that I could feel a little safer using, and will happily take 45-105 or 50-110 in this tuning (I like the flap). Has to have well defined top and bottom end for horrid raspy sound (think Stingray-ish). I also would prefer something short, as I am used to using the super-short Steinberger, so anything longer than a P-Bass is right out of the question. Also need something capable of super low action. Am I asking too much as I am so used to the Steiny? Any suggestions?
13. Weekend bump, there was a lot of interest in this last time round, where you all hiding? Sensible offers and part trades considered. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this bass, just not my cup of tea!
14. It's just not for me, I have big hands, and I tend to get thumb cramp on shallow neck profiles. It plays like a dream, but I can only do about 15 minutes before my thumb starts aching. It's a shame really, if it wasn't for that, I would have kept this and used the heck out of it!
15. Yes, this is the same one Voodoosnake was advertising recently. I took it off his hands as I had always wanted to try one of them out, but it's just not right for me. After some research, it would appear this is rarer than I thought, and might be one of only 3 or 4 made in this config, out of a total production run of around 300 units. It is March 2003 and the neck is straight as an arrow. (Please excuse glare on forearm part of body on 1st and 2nd pic, this is a light reflection.) Sitka spruce body with quilted maple face and back Custom Monorail II bridge Graphite neck, 34" scale, 24 hardened stainless steel frets. Carbon/Epoxy fingerboard, 10-15" conical radius Sperzel tuners 1.6" nut width String spacing 0.750" at bridge, 0.442" at nut Polyurethane finish Di-Marzio custom wound active pickups plus 4 element Fishman piezo Weight 7.75 pounds Plays beautifully and looks absolutely stunning. Couple of little dinks (one on headstock, one on bottom rear, in pic 5 and pic 6), but pretty much mint aside from these. As far as anyone can tell, there are less than 5 of these in existence in flametop. Looking for [s]1500[/s] 1450, or part-ex for other equipment plus cash. Looking for: Musicman Stingray or Big Al Ampeg HLF410 or 610 Jackson thru neck bass Charvel Model 2B/3B thru neck bass Peavey 5150 guitar head Charvel Model 5 or Model 6 guitar Charvel "Wildcard" hotrod single p/up version Jackson Soloist (thru neck) Jackson RR (thru neck) Jackson Possibly consider other stuff, depending what it is, but prefer cash, or part-cash.
16. Thrash Metal bassist needed, London/Kent for up and coming originals band. Debut album out, plenty of shows being offered, we have a stand-in bassist until new man/woman is gig-ready so there is scope for decent rehearsal time while still keeping band momentum. You should have good stage presence, own backline, preferably own transport, good sense of humour and good working knowledge of 1980s Thrash. Should be open minded enough to mix in a little Hardcore and Crustpunk. Job not a problem as long as time-off can be had for shows and rehearsals when needed. Influences: Celtic Frost, Discharge, Terror, Sodom, Varukers, Exodus, Voivod, Kreator, Knuckledust, Overkill etc. http://www.reverbnation.com/kremated
