1.
Beautiful. I miss my Mk2 but it was quite heavy. This model sounds perfect. Who made the slap plate ?
Exactly the slap plate is made in house :-)
2.
Noooo! Sad to hear it needing to go Miki!!!
I know! Anyways Paul is making another Mk3 for me. It'll be ready next year though haha!!
3. Hi guys, I may regret it, but I'm considering selling my newest bass - this beautiful Wal Mk3 - cause I need money for some unexpected expenses. It's a unique opportunity for all Wal lovers. You don't get to see a Wal Mk3 for sale very often and even less in a new condition like the one I'm selling. I bought it last month (February) direct from Wal's workshop in Leatherhead. It only has a few hours of playing. It was made in 2016 and it features: - Rippled Ash facings - Mahogany body - Rocklite fretboard - Black hardware (ultra light tuners) - Satin finish - Clear Slap Plate (no screws, easily removable) - Special jack plate to allow angled jacks In my opinion this is the best Wal model. It's way lighter than the Mk1 and Mk2 and it's more ergonomic (and it looks better in my opinion). The bass I'm selling weights only 8lbs 13oz (3,9kg!) and the weight balance is just PERFECT. It plays superbly, the neck is straight, no dead spots. It's really addictive and of course it has that legendary Wal sound. The retail price for a bass like this would be 5500 GBP and you'd have to wait 22 months. I'm asking 5100 EUR (approx 4400 GBP). The bass is in Barcelona, Spain. It's worth the trip guys. I can pick you up at Barcelona airport and show you the bass anytime you want. 4. Thanks for your kind words wombatboter :-) Bump!
5. Hi everyone, I'm selling my beautiful Wal Mk1. From the Ian Waller's era (1987). Despite the age the bass is in excellent condition. This is the best bass I ever had, but I'm getting a new Wal Mk3 soon so this one needs to go. The bass features Shedua facings, brazilian Mahogany core, indian rosewood, maple&mahogany neck and 21 frets. It weights around 10lbs -not too heavy-. I mounted Schaller light tuners on it but I still have the original Schaller tuners. Original Wal hardcase included. Here's a recent clip I did so you can get an idea of the amazing sound of the bass: https://www.youtube....h?v=XZoZ7bDv7Gc The bass lives in Barcelona (Spain) but I travel to the UK very often so I can take it with me. I can ship it worldwide (shipping costs not included). I'm asking 3500 GPB or 4200 EUR. IMPORTANT: NO TRADES, SALE ONLY (I need the money!) PM me or email me at [email protected] if you're interested :-) Pics: Album - https://www.flickr.c...157678560925096 https://flic.kr/p/PEYDk9 https://flic.kr/p/QJaPGb https://flic.kr/p/PEYwqY https://flic.kr/p/PEYwn1 https://flic.kr/p/PHJCSz https://flic.kr/p/QJaPx3 https://flic.kr/p/QTTQaG https://flic.kr/p/PHJCNr
6.
Cool looking bass ,how does it compare to the trbx 500 ?
Much better. like 100 times better to be honest. This is a bass for professionals, it was made in Japan. You can feel the wood quality, the pickup quality, everyhing. The TRBX is "only" one of the best basses that you can get for less than 500EUR.
7. Hi guys! I need to sell this great bass before Sunday. I'm from Barcelona but I'm in London these days and leaving on Sunday, I don't have enough space in my luggage... It's a bass that I bought just to use it while I was here. This bass was made in Japan. Features 35" scale, three band eq, alnico pickups. It's in good condition (8/10) and it comes setup and ready to go. Ash body, maple/mahogany 5 piece neck, pau ferro fingerboard and a hard case! I'm asking only [SORRY, THE BASS IS NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE] Unbelievable price. Its recommended retail price, when new, was 2500 GBP (according to BassDirect.co.uk). No shipping. Pickup only in London city!
8. Hey! Talking about my bass without me? hahaha It's a refinish, made by a car paint shop actually. The bass was originally vintage white. And yeah, it's artificial grass!!! LOL
9. I've traded a Sadowsky UV70 for a Lakland 44-60 USA with Jorge (five2one). The bass came the day after sending it with the best packing I ever saw. LOL Great transaction. Very nice, fast and easy. Reliable guy to do business with. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/249313-traded-lakland-joe-osborn-usa/
10. I bought the bass in New York a couple weeks ago just to record some YouTube videos and make a little money by selling it! I'd like to keep it but I have too many basses and I'm more of a Fender-YamahaBB guy! hehe
11. Hi! I'm selling this beautiful Fodera Yin Yang. The bass is mint condition except for a little ding on the side as you can see in the last picture. 12. I just used it for a few hours, it looks too shinny on my 1977 Jazz Bass. In as new condition, in the original packaging with the manual and screws that comes with it. £50 local pickup only (Hammersmith London) If you want me to send it we can talk about it. NO TRADES PLEASE!
13. I've just used it for one day. Great sustain, great sound. The only problem is I'm not such a big fan of the high tech look of it on my 77 Fender bass so I prefered to fix the original bridge and keep its vintage look. In as new condition, in the original packaging with the manual and screws that comes with it. £50 local pickup only (Hammersmith London) If you want me to send it we can talk about it. NO TRADES PLEASE!
