1.
Awesome sound on the Jamiroquai track - a bit off topic but can you let me know what you have the bass settings on and also what the signal chain is to record the video?
Fender Jazz Bass (both pickups and tone open) ---> monster cable ---> M-Audio Fast Track (no EQ) ---> MacBook Pro with Garage Band (no EQ, just a little compresion). That's all!
2. Hey guys! For sale my favourite pedal, my Akai Deep Impact. Best bass synth pedal ever built. Simply because I don't use it and I need the money to buy a car. I don't have the power supply and I don't have the original box, only the pedal (in perfect condition, just some scratches on the side). I'm asking 600€ (490£) plus shipping. The pedal is in Barcelona. Thanks!!!
3. Hi! For sale my 1973 Fender Jazz Bass 3TS. All original except the neck pickup (it's a Fender custom shop 60). Amazing sound, great player. If you play it you'll fall in love with it. The neck is straight and the truss rod works well, frets in good shape. The bass is very light compared to my 1977 JB. I think the weight is around 4kg, maybe less. The upper part of the binding was repaired by a profesional (see pic #4). Bridge, pickups, neck, tuners... everything is working perfectly. SOLD!!!!! Some pics and a couple videos here: Jamiroquai - All Good in the Hood (both pickups): Quick test (bridge pickup and both pickups):
4. Ok guys, here's the answer: Part 1: Fender '00 Made in Mexico P-Bass Part 2: Fender '71 P-Bass Part 3: Fender '58 P-Bass
5. All three basses are plugged into an M-Audio Fast Track audio interface and recorded with Garage Band with flat EQ and a little compression (the same for all three basses). No sansamp or similar.
6. More opinions? I'll give you the answer this afternoon
7. Just a note: People pays between 4.000$ and 20.000$ for a original pre-CBS. The value of a mint condition '71 P-Bass like this is 3.000$ aprox. The value of a '00 P-Bass MiM is about 300$. And you, bass players, are not sure of which is which... something's wrong... hahaha
8.
They all sound good, no idea which is which though.
10. Hi! First of all sorry for my english, I'm from Spain. I've been testing some basses with a friend and I recorded a clip with 3 different Fender Precision. 1 - A pre-CBS P-Bass. Maybe from 1958. Exactly this one: http://www.segundama...a=8_s&st=a&c=27 We don't know exactly the year of this bass because there's no neck date and some no-original parts, but we're 99% sure the body, neck and pickup are pre-CBS. Ash body, Maple neck. 2 - My '71 P-Bass. All original. Alder body, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard. Exactly this one: http://www.bajistas....pic.php?t=31997 3 - A '00 P-Bass Made in Mexico. Ash body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. Stock Pickup. Here's the clip: http://soundcloud.co...a-fender-p-bass From 0:00 to 0:43 is one of these basses. From 0:43 to 1:43 is another. The strings are old in this second bass... I'm sorry. That makes it even more difficult. From 1:43 to the end of the clip is the other one. Can you tell me which is which and which is the best and worst for you?? And WHY?? Let's play! By the way... could someone revise my english on this post? thanks
11. Yeaaah! Aquests catalans estem a tot arreu... Welcome!! jaja
12. Hi guys! I'm selling by P-Bass Pino Palladino. Like new, 10/10. The bass is from oct 2010. Fiesta Red finish, alder body (light weight), rosewood fingerboard, relic finish... The bass looks and sounds amazing. For me is the best P-Bass that you can buy today. I'm asking 2400€. I'm from Barcelona (Spain), You are invited to come and play it whenever you want. The bass will be available untill march 24th. If the bass is not sold this day I will do a trade for a vintage P-Bass with a guy from this forum. Here's some pics: And some videos too: Thanks!!!!
