Its definately a difficult question. But, does it really need answering? If you've only been playing a year then i'm sure you're still progressing weekly, if not daily. Are you happy with the way you are progressing? Is there anything you cant do that you would like to be able to? I think these are the important questions! Also, If your not already, get yourself in a band and playing regularly with other people. For me it was the biggest gauge of where i needed to improve. Keep going!

those blue speakers... in a trace box... I kind of feel like i just witnessed inbreeding or something!

To be honest, I'd probably leave one bass and one amp to my little brother/son/anyone else in the family whos interested and put the rest up on here for charity or something. Not like id be missing out!

I'd go and play it myself, just to see. If its at a reputable music shop and still has neck issues i personally wouldnt go near it with the usual barge pole...

Can i just remind people of Rule 5 in the buying and selling Rules please! 5. If you believe the price of the item is too cheap/expensive, then please PM the seller as to why. Do not ridicule or undermine the seller by posting how much you think it's worth or how much it can be gotten for elsewhere, the laws of supply and demand will determine if the item sells at that price. Thankyou!

Well, The poor sod i sold this to cant afford to keep it anymore (im finding more and more reasons NOT to go to uni...!) and i simply cant afford to take it off him so i said i'll pass it on here for him. It was custom built for me in '07 buy Rob Parnham, Who's a cracking luthier but assures me he simply doesnt have the time anymore! Anyway, without further adue, pics and specs. - Sappele body with contrast veneer running through the middle - Wenge neck, Ebony Board - Wilkinson Hardware - Seymour Duncan humbucker from a modulous Flea at the bridge - Wilkinson J in the neck - Passive vol/tone vol/tone - Its bloody gorgeous! Hes asked me to put it up at £325, which for s beautiful custom like this, i dont think you can argue with. And if it where me i'd swap the neck pickup for a seymour duncan, whack a nice pre in and have a 2k beater Do your worst!
It is a bit of an old chestnut, this. The answer is simple. "Bassists" who use plectrums are not true bassists - they are failed guitarist scum and it is the duty of every right-thinking real bassist to seek them out and smash their hands with a hammer, so they do not cheapen & degrade the purity & skill of proper bass playing with this abominable perversion of theirs. Praise The Lord. Easy, really. Jon.
<3
