I bought a pedal from Julian @glassmoon. Excellent comms and very quick delivery and packaged as though it were a faberge egg! Thank you.

The Fall opened their set with Werewolves at Stylus in Leeds a few years ago. MES nailed the Ah-ooos. Only time they ever played it, I believe .

57 in a couple of weeks, and a keen listener to and searcher for new music. Radio 6 is an excellent source, as are my kids and other friends. In the last year I've discovered some of the best new (to me) music I've heard in a long time.
Big Thief
Phoebe Bridgers (esp collaborations)
Feist
Bilge Pump
Parquet Courts
Lucy Dacus
Beige Palace
Warmduscher
And tons more

Just received a Mono Sleeve from them. £15 cheaper than anywhere else I could find and delivered free in just a few days. No complaints at all.

Ah Too Hip Gotta Go, one of my favourites to play.

The Fall. The Dirtbombs. Both bands made two drummers work brilliantly.

Hi, what are the separate prices please?

Terribly, couldn't get anything like a good sound, just didn't have the technique. Love the sound when they're well played.

I tried tablas once. You need so much strength in your fingers. Thanks for sharing, that was great.

I've never had any trouble with Copydex glue.

Always loved this. https://youtu.be/YH2FvROdEds

I wasn't aware of these. What a nice, down to earth guy.

Hi Stew, Gardner Read's book Musical Notation is excellent for learning this. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Music-Notation-Crescendo-Book-Gardner/dp/0800854535
Happy to lend you mine if you can't get hold of it.

Two kits on the way (Bitzbox and Musikding) and then I'm using lockdown to introduce my son to the joys of pedal building.

The Zoom will work. My son is using mine as an audio interface at the moment.

Higher and Higher was a challenge for me too! At first if my mind wandered I lost it, eventually I found that focussing on smiling (or clenching my teeth 😁) got me through it.
Playing it live, everyone gets up to dance to it... this somehow made it easier if a crowd were up enjoying themselves.
I could play the part (with clenched teeth as described) but try adding the backing vocals and it was impossible.

Thing is, that needs a great rhythm guitarist. And they’re hard to find. Love that bass line.
Have you heard the Z-Trip remix? The rhythm guitar part is stunning.

I ruptured my cruciate ligament and dislocated my kneecap on Monday, so last night's gig was a challenge. Strapped up and on crutches, I played sitting down. The lads picked me up and dropped me home (30 mile round trip) and set up all the gear. Bloody painful (especially when the drummer stood on my foot) but got through it. 60th birthday party so, like many others above, we were mostly ignored.

Very nice.

That's lovely. I've got 0202 ('63 red fretless jazz).

Thanks for going to the effort of sharing this with us Michael, it's a fascinating insight. And congrats.

I was lucky enough to be on the bill at what I believe was their penultimate gig, at the Sweetwaters festival in NZ in 1984 (I think). We opened the main stage on the Saturday and they were the last band. Their set was very much the Stop Making Sense set as I remember and they were simply awesome. Every song, every performer were spot on. I saw David Byrne's tour last year and I'd say it was equally as good. Great band.
Best solid state head you've had

My GK Fusion 550 is perfect. Every now and then I get a tube amp itch but while selling the GK to fund is the only option, it will remain unscratched.
