With doubts I put on sale this preciousness is a Vigier Passion of the year 95

It is all original and has a sound that is wonderful. Aesthetically and fretted is very good. To emphasize in the shovel it has two faults and a small one also in the frontal body not affecting at all to the bass it is aesthetic in fact it gives him character they are 23 years very well taken.
I sell it to reduce my collection.
I include a non-original Xotic type case and in case of perfectly packaged wound shipping.
Price 1450 euros included shipping European countries.
Any question you have answered by private delighted.
    regards

Do have two Passions, a burgundy red with an original teardrop hardcase (I am the second owner) and a kind of yellowburst with a detuner. Serials told that these ladies were made in 1988 and 1989. I hunted these for ages, saw the first Passion (ROM version) in the 1980's. Fell in love instantly but did not have the money at that time. Now a happy owner of these two. Lovely instruments.

If the NT fretless looks somewhat long, it has a 36" scale. Passive, step attenuator, coil switch, hollow, handmade by an incredibly talented Finn, Kristian Ukkonen. Finnish birch, blackwood fretboard and walnut top. Very nice and easy to play. Straps are handmade by lady Katariina Larisuo, both sides shown.

I suppose it's the same colour like those on my beloved 1993 Arpège III fretless 😍 - where it's called "Antique violin" (I guess)

Funky orange did sound good...but antique violin it is 😀 Thanks...ps I bet your Arpege Series 111 plays and sounds as good as a Stradavarius like my Passion series 111?

  4. As a fortunate owner of a series11 and series111 Passion basses, 31 and 27 years old respectively, with no movement on necks what so ever.I can vouch for the prevoius comments.Amazing playing and comfortable necks on any Vigier I have ever played. It is fantastic not to have to worry about neck relief and lack of truss rod, if all you have to consider is intonation and your personal string heights. That said if you like experimenting about with neck relief and set-ups a Vigier is maybe not for you.Though that said i believe every bass player should have a Vigier (if lucky enough)😁

  6. Having just bought an old Vigier Passion bass....I had no option to replace the Schaller 3D bridge, the saddles were totally siezed up and nothing would losen the roller threads on it.lubrication, heat etc.The original bridge and tuners were chrome but i fancied a change and ordered a black bridge and black/gold M4 Shaller tuners..as Black alone now duscontinued!!!  As to whether this lowers the value I don't know, but the bass plays like a dream.Have kept the tuners....no point to the bridge..20180407_140224.thumb.jpg.30ffe5baf3d5bad620994048e4f4d571.jpg20180329_171735.thumb.jpg.ba20ca29b1665ad06ee5fc00772b8b03.jpg

    Beautiful!!

Quite unusual to see a series 3 with dots on the fretboard.

Let us know your feelings on series II vs III

Have recently just obtained a Vigier Passion11 in greenburst to go along with my Passion111 custom in funky orange (not sure what the colour is!!

though the bass is a funk machine!)

So comparison between the carbon neck and the 10/90 system on the go at the moment....Both a joy to play and a very happy bassist:D:D

Always good to have more than one :)

I really like the Schaller bridge. It’ll be nice to have a new one! You’ll probably find the neck on the series 2 is a bit flatter so it will probably feel quite different. There’s a Nautilus for sale here but it doesn’t have the power supply pedal and the rear pickup is damaged. Patrice Vigier said it would be too difficult to restore it with any guarantee of it working.

Thanks for the heads up on the Vigier Nautius.Even without the power supply working a PHD in electronics may come in handy!!! If Patrice cannot guarantee probably a no goer....but in reality €1500  as a long term project for a rarity not that bad.....

  10. Hi Ped.

Having had only a couple of days with Mr Green i love it....Lighter and more sustain, but to early to judge...I need to replace the Schaller bridge. alas the rollers have siezed and no ammount of force or lubrication is working.so an overhaul of bridge and tuners now ordered at touchstone in (Black) will look good...Will let you know difference between, over time.but just enjoying having two:D:D maybe slightly ostentacious i know....

Had an Arpege series 4 4 string...just did not take to the bolt on even though the Glokenrang eq was out there, just prefer the old neck through design... One day somebody will be selling the Holy Grail of all Vigiers the Arpege Nautilus!!!! Hen's teeth that!!!!! No idea how many were made.

All the best and will post more pictures when set up in new outfit...:D

    Alan

Ps dots are phosherent stickers great for dark stages.
