2. I have a Korg Pitchblack tuner that I am looking to give a new home. It hasn't been used much as I invested in a new tuner just before my band split. It has an extremely bright and clear display and really stands out on a dark stage. Its also quite compact too! *SOLD*

 4.
If you guys could tell me in English what to do I'll do it
oops sorry Try opening the page you have saved in explorer. Then go to save as and change the file format to 'Web archive, single file'. That should save the page with all of the fancy graphics and stuff as a single file.
 5. Check out the SX Stingray on the Waltons site... Active circuitry, 3-band EQ, Ash body. They've even got the 6-bolt neck and all for £265. Would love to play one to feel what they are like to play.
 6. The SX basses in the starter packs are a little different to the ones from Rondo. The starter pack basses all have 21 frets for a start.
 7. I find it very difficult to stand still whilst playing with a band. Also I can't tap my toes and stay in time but I can don't have the same problem if I leave my toes on the floor and tap my heel instead.
 8. I liked 'There are numerous signatures on this guitar which are yet to be verified. so we do not know much on those as yet.' Plus who the hell was Sid Viscous????
 9. Awesome band. Blister In The Sun is one of my favourate basslines. Anyone know what bass he's playing in that youtube vid?
 10. Would love this. Unfortunately don't have the funds at the minute though
 11.
That's what I did. It doesn't work! Chris
The file you uploaded was an .html file not an .mht.
 12.
Theyre all on the file I atteched but not on the file when downloaded here. If someone can tell me a better way of doing it, I'll do so. As has been suggested above, it is an extremely useful resource Chris
Try loading the page in explorer and then saving it is a single file (.mht) and then uploading that. The pictures should all be saved in one file then.
 13.
I saved it. I'll attach it to this post and hope it works. I guess that you can simply right click on it and save it? Chris
Pics still not appearing for me. Anyone else?
 14.
I have one of them. STUNNING bass. I love the Combo of ric-esque shape and the block inlays. However, if my financial situation gets any worse, it may end up for sale
You better not sell it on here...I may be forced to buy it then
 15. He gets overshadowed by Justin Chancellor but I've always thought that Paul D'Amour was ace on Opiate and Undertow by Tool.
 16.
Of course we don't know anything about what the customer wanted, but we can see that they are trying to emulate the wear pattern of a jaco jazz as they are referring to a picture of one onscreen.
I was working off that assumption as well. I am still suprised that the shop would be that eager to devalue one of their instruments, customers wishes or not.
 17. I don't have a problem with the attempt to relic it. I'm offended that they would sell a mex jazz with that cavity routing without a scratchplate on it. The customer wanted a jaco jazz and that doesn't even look close to it. They obviously have no eye for detail and that is what is important to musicians when they spend large amounts of money on a new instrument.
 18.

Wow! That bass looks really awesome. What was the price on it?
 19.
i know that paul, the has one of these and is happy with it...anyone else tried one ? i'm going to be playing a radio session soon for a community radio station and will miss the sound of my ampeg pre-amp. i know the di level isn't up to much, i'm curious how noisy it'll be. my sansamp was taken out by an exploding electric mistress a while back and i've not got the funds to replace it.
I use a Beheringer GDI-21 for distortion and I am very happy with it. Can also be used as a preamp too. The BDI-21 is the better preamp for bass though.
 20.
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=strings
Genius thanks! I did an exact search for 'string comparison table' and for some reason it didn't come up. Thanks for your help anyway
 21. A few months ago I read a website that compared the tone of various different types and brand of bass string. I thought it was a great reference for lots of different types of string and featured the balance between bass, mnid and treble for almost all commonly available types of string. Problem is that I didn't bookmark the page and I now have no idea how to find it again. If anyone knows what I'm referring to please let me know
 22.
As some of you may know i am in the process of buying a new bass, i will be going to try one out at a shop in the next week or so. is there anything i can play sort of like a, 'test your bass' kinda riff or line that helps give me an idea of what all the parts of the bass are like? And what should i look/hear/feel for to tell weather its a good bass or not? any info would be nice. Thanks. Bass_Junkie.
If you play it, enjoy playing it and you like the way it feels and sounds then it is a good bass. If you don't then its not for you so don't buy it. Remember its not all about specification. Lots of people try really high spec basses and dislike them. I don't think there is a definitive way to test a bass though. Check if anything feels flimsy on it and how easily you can get around the neck. I always like to bypass the eq or toneshaping on the amp too. You will know if it sounds right...tone is subjective to the individual.
 23.
No idea, but flowers or chocolates usually help.
Beat me to it
 24.
So Rickenbacker would jump all over you if you put one on ebay but have taken no action against Tokai themselves? sounds pretty gutless to me.
Rickenbackers copyright only covers North America. Its fine to sell them here.
