Nice basses, and generally better fit and finish than most Fenders. Their pre-amps are better than the Fender ones, too.
That said, there are some equally nice instruments out there on the s/h market that are potential Stingray-eaters;
Ibanez ATK
Status Groove
Warwick FNA (corvette)
Warwick Streamer Jazzman
Warwick Fortress Masterman
Modulus Graphite Flea sig (and others!)
Plus the in-house competition from
Sterling
Sterling by Musicman
(s/h) SUBs
Even some hot-rodded OLPs
Not to mention the Bongo!
There's nearly as many (good) 'Ray emulators as there are super jazzes and jazz clones.

I love my ray as much but I hate to say that Modulus probably have already eaten the stingray for breakfast. -
Using Sadowsky blacks on my jazz and warwick blacks on my ray.

I think we are on the same boat. And as the other posters said, I assume jazz is your preference?
I'm currently looking at Bacchus and Atelier... Tried Atelier long time ago when I just started playing and as far as I can remember that bass felt right... It's just that I cant justify owning an expensive bass like that when I was just starting.
And yes. Lakland, Sadowsky and Overwater... Worth a look. -
Been playing rock and funk since I started.
Quite fancy a change really. Nothing serious, just after some sessions and we'll see after that. -
WANT!
I have a thing with black and white basses. And this tickles me the most... Sadly no money... So all I can give you is a bump! -
Repost for a better photo.

My go to bass. -
Fab basses, these are.. Have a bump.
-
Mainly a 4 string player... Bought 5 a couple of months ago as the situation requires me so. Glad I picked a 5 up. I find it really useful if you play different kind of genres.
-
Crazy price! If only I didn't have a Stinray myself. Have a bump.

Bought Yamaha TRB 1005 from him. Asked him to hold it for almost a month. Never had a problem. Great deal.
Recommended seller.

Manok, didn't know you're a member here.

I have a couple of guitars I don't play.. I just keep them under my bed "just in case" someone might need it sometime. I'm just not a fan of selling basses or guitars that's been with me for more than 2 years.

Your rule number 7 is on the way. XD -
Sorry guys. It seems that there's a lot of interest on this bass. Been sold immediately. Thanks for looking though.

Reasong for selling: Upgrade
I got the bass brand new around October last year. I bought it as my first 5-string. Still in mint condition, but as you can see I wrote something on the body, but will take that off.
Original strings are still on it and it sounds "just right" for me. And the grain on this particular bass is a beauty.
I've only taken this bass out once with me and as I say in mint condition. No scratches or dings that I am aware of.
Will ship this bass bubble wrapped and with the original box. Sadly no gigbag included as I only have one as of the moment,
Asking price is £175 + shipping cost (estimated £25) to UK mainland only.
Thanks for looking!

I'm from Worcester. Could meet up in Bham City Centre if ever.

Yup. Serious here. But I don't have a buyer for the Squier yet... So I can't guarantee anything as of the moment. :'(
-
Really interested on this. But I have to sell my Squier Vintage Modified V first at the end of this month before I can afford this. Hope it's still here by then!!

That's so annoying, I completely forgot about this - only remembered a few minutes ago, which is a few days too late really.

You are not alone. And to think my name was written down on the "def coming" list. I feel ashamed. Someone punish me. -
I have a damaged unit. Well, not really major damage (I don't know yet! cross fingers), I recieved the parcel and found out that the socket where you plug in the adaptor is broken. I opened it up to see what's up. So here's the photos:

Anyone reckon if it's a generic plug or do I have to get that specific part somewhere else? -
Bargains! Me wants!

Can I buy that white pearl off you if you decide to change it? Serious here.

I use those cleaning/polishing wipes by EB with my 70's jazz. They work really well.
