I have a mexican 70's RI. The only thing I can complain about it are the pickups. Bit "weak" sounding.

Looks lovely!

I have a Lakland SK-569, Warwick streamer jazzman and a Fender jazz. Pretty much I play the Lakland most of the time now. When I want to play a 4 stringer I'd go to the other two. And I'm fairly content with what I have now ( a side from wanting a 55-94 ). I'd still probably try other basses just for the heck of being able to play a different one but I don't think I'll be needing anything now. Want is a different thing though!

I have my bass' neck joint directly on line with my belt buckle. Feels just right for me.

Never knew Fender does 5 string p-bass. Looks yummy. Congrats!

I don't think so. But I can't say for sure. Never had any issues with my 1005 or whatsoever.
-
I meant my 1005 and 1005j. Just made in different countries. My 1005 was from Korea and 1005j is... well, Japan I suppose.
-
They are pretty good and can do any genre if you ask me. I owned 1005 and 5pii both at the same time. Strangely I prefer the 1005. Although not a J but they are pretty much identical. I only sold both of them for a much lighter 5 stringer which my shoulder can't thank me enough.
EDIT: I'm not saying that 1005 is heavy but 5pii definitely is. It's because a have a shoulder problem for a long time now. -
I like the sound of the stingray aside from what have previously been mentioned lack of warmth on the low end. I do like the feel as well. But for some reason I prefer pbass over stingray.

WOW! That works for me; looks great contrasted against the Warwick.

Thanks. That is actually my intention. Pair it with Warwick when doing gigs.

They are not for everyone though. -

Pink, anyone? -
I played one of this last 27th of Dec in a shop. The tone was luuuurrvvvllly. But the price wasn't as good this!

I have tried the MB200 with Neo cab. I liked the head not the cab.
I have tried Hartke 210 XL + 115 XL with Hartke amp(not sure what). Like the cabs not the amp.
As I can't find both of these on the same shop, I have no idea how they sound together.
So anyone here with a rig like this? What are your thoughts? -
Such bargain. Shame I already placed my order for a different colour! If I have the extra cash I wouldn't mind having two 55-02's!
-
I'm not usually into this kind of basses but that wood combination is really something.

They said it all. -

This looks rather nice. -
Probably the most comfortable bass I ever played.

jamass bought my Yamaha TRB5pii. No problems at all with communication. I was rather surprised when he told me the bass can be picked up earlier than we have agreed (which is good!). Pleasure to deal with.

Bass SOLD. Mods please close the thread. Thank you!

Don't forget Yamaha basses. They are great too!

£35 for a bass? Not bad at all!
