  1. Sold Martin my Boss ME8-B pedal board. Great communictions, arranged meeting went well despite my having very little time etc, and a top bloke to deal with! No hesitation in recommending to anyone on this site! Cheers Mart!

  2. Mate of mine had a T-Max in combo form (think it ran at 4 ohms into its internal speaker). He then bought a Peavey 210 4 ohm cab to run with it as well, therefore giving its full output into 2 ohms. Thats when the problems started! Local engineer expressed doubts over whether these amps can run for long periods into 2 ohms without overheating etc. far safer to run them at 4 he reckoned.
    Good luck getting sorted!

  3. Selling my mixer - its a Spirit Folio F1 14/2 made in the UK by Soundcraft.

Features Channels 1 to 6, each with XLR input , Line and insert jacks, then controls for input sensitivity, HF, swept mid,LF, then 3 Auxiliary controls
(aux 1 pre, aux 2 post/pre, aux3 post). Then channels 7 to 14 feature 2 pairs of phono inputs and two pairs of jack inputs.
Also has 2 track phonos, headphone output etc etc.

The mixer is in excellent condition, and comes complete with the original Soundcraft power supply (which cost around £30 alone.)

Ideal small quality British desk for a duo, acoustic or small band as well as home recording etc.

Would much prefer cash on collection, but would post if pushed! No idea on cost of this ,but does n't weigh much so should be tenner max?
I am near Hull in East Yorkshire, but do travel around a fair bit - in next month will be in or near Scarborough, Harrogate,Standish, Derby, Yarm, Cheshire and Stratford, so may be good for someone out there?

    Cheers.

  4. Selling my Boss ME-8B multi effects board as don't have a use for it anymore. Looking for £50.

Comes complete with the original Boss power supply, which are around £25 alone.

The effects featured include :- COMPRESSOR ENHANCER, DEFRETTER, OCTAVE, OVERDRIVE, DISTORTION, FUZZ, HUMANIZER, EQUALIZER, SYNTH BASS, T WAH, CHORUS, FLANGER, DELAY, REVERB, plus a TUNER.

To be honest I have n't used a lot of the sounds, as only bought it originally for a couple sessions that required a bit of chorus etc!
The quality of effects is up to the usual high Boss standard, and the unit is in excellent condition having spent most of it's life in a hard case (made for me by a mate!) which is included in the sale. The case ain't great, but has done the job well!

Although I have n't got the original manual, it is fairly intuitive to use. (May be possible to obtain a PDF copy from Boss/Roland?)
Check out reviews on Harmony Central too.

Would much prefer cash on collection (am in East Yorkshire near Hull, but working next few weeks in/near Harrogate,Scarborough,Standish,Leeds,Ashbourne,Yarm,
Cheshire, Stratford, York) if thats any good for anyone?!

Could post at a push, guessing around a tenner for this but will find out if required.
    Cheers!

  5. I have a Peavey speaker DI box that I used successfully for a while before I got an amp with DI output. (Yours for a tenner if you want to give it a go!)
You wont go far wrong with Ampeg stuff though - I use an SVT3 Pro into a 4x10 and its the nearest to a big SVT 8x10 rig I've found.

  6. Shure SM58 BETA - knocks ten bells out of a standard 58, and can be had for just over £100 if you look around. Used by everyone - keep an out out on TV etc, the Beta has a blue plastic ring around the grille, whereas the standard 58 is silver.
Increased output , robust, great tone and lasts for ever!

  7. Duracell ProCells - on the dreaded ebay for around £1 each if you buy a few. Last for ages in my Sterling, but I replace with every string change to be on the safe side as don't have a passive option should the battery die.
Happened only once with a Fender Precision Lyte I had, started to fart then 10 secs later deadsville!! Got a tech to do some minor modifications to the Fender's circuitry which resulted in extending battery life 10 fold! Minimal cost, just penny pinching on manufacturer's part apparently!
