1. There are always amazing deals in the Amps for sale section on this website, my Hartke stack sold for £300 and that was a 4x10 paired with a 2x10 with tweeter! amazing tone very sorry to see it go. It was also my first "stack".

Soundwise you could probably try a larger 15" or 18" speaker cab with a 2x10 on top i was amazed at how much punch and mid/top end i got from a 2x10 great for projecting your notes clearly and precisely you can easilly pick both up at about £100 each or less, leaving you £200 for a head which is more than enough for a 200 - 300 watt head second hand!

Punching above ones weight I fear.
Haha if i could just get my head around that shape i would at least think about it... but damn what were those boys thinking?!

  3.
One of those squiers just went stock for £200 in my local shop so your probably looking at around that mark. Not sure about the other but I really like it mate.
It certainly wouldn't have gone for £200 loaded with Nordstrand Pups and a Audere Preamp in it never mind all the other mods.

As for the values i really don't know mate, probably the sum of all parts minus 25% - 30% but that Precision looks immense! must sound huge?!

  4. Just a quick message to say i buy Computer Music magazine and that always has a tonne of very usable samples on there, i find the single hits more useable as i can then stick the wav's in to my sampler to then create beats from.

The garage band drum samples are quite good, but very limited, you can create you're own kit on the program though and if you set an individual hit to an individual track then you get complete freedom to EQ and level that hit to the ends of the earth, its time consuming and you'll probably want a MIDI controller to "type" out your beats initially but its very rewarding and the tracks can sound very faithful to real drums, or if you program some IDM and Breakbeat like me a simple stereo editer is all you need, for PC soundforge for MAC i use Audacity.

  5. Hi Mark,

Just wondering if the Compressore and Super Synth will be part of the "Take It Away" scheme, just as i plan on picking both of them up when you get the stock as a christmas present to myself.

    Cheers,

  6. The "common two" are ruining my current band for me, Lead Guitarist too loud all the time and insists on bringing a huge Orange stack to a small practice room, and the singer for singing stupid lyrics during practice, farting down the mic and just generally being a dick, it wont be long before me the drummer and the second guitarist do a runner together....
