1. I have a fabulous Ashdown Neo 115h speaker for sale. Rarely gigged and just taking up space, this pre-loved beauty is about 3 years old, in excellent condition, and capable of the warmest and punchiest sounds at any volume. With a cloth cover and in perfect working order. Also available: Warwick Pro Fet iv head in a 4U Rock Bag Make me a sensible offer for either/both here on lovely BassChat.
 2. Strangely I was just talking about how I'd like to join Oasis less than half an hour ago! Fate? I'm into their music and making money from a decent project like yours. Check-out my new website: www.andyhodgebass.com Hope to hear from you soon Andy 07778 263920
 3.
Liam (Giuseppe,24), Noel (Stephan,24) searching for other musicians to complete the best Oasis coverband. We still need a bass player, a drummer and a rhytm guitarist. We live in London. Me (Giuseppe) I live in Ealing Broadway. Please reply if seriously interested. We'll do it for fun but also as a job to make money. I'd rather make money playing Oasis than finding a part time job. thanks
4. Toby I'm not too far away from your area and certainly interested in making money from ROCK asap. I have good BVs/lead vox too, plus a strong knowledge of many many many tunes. Hope to hear from you soon. www.andyhodgebass.com [email protected] Andy
 5.
Hello We are drums (21) guitar/vocs (47) and it's a rock band. So we're talking Overdriven valves rather than Distortion. We're putting together 30mins of covers designed to make people bounce around and then we'll be adding in originals. Covers so far are Stooges/Nirvana/Sonic Rendezvous Band/Stones/Oasis. Originals are Songs that sound nothing like the above! Sort of Laurel Canyon '71 with a dash of Detroit (white and black) '72 but English! You know how J Mascis and Kevin Shields always have strong tunes at the centre of the maelstrom? We're intentionally loose so there is space for the Bass (oh that rhymes). I've been told that we play loud (its real overdrive). Other than that it is over to you if you're interested. If you sing and/or write, or want to that would be an added bonus. Obviously this is amateur for now, but we've clicked so well that we intend taking this one as far as possible. We have an ultra-cheap practice space in Aldershot and play every week. Email is:- [email protected] P.S. If I've missed anything from a Bassists point of view can you let me know please?
6. Mmm, pretty! I'm gonna check my Piggy Bank right now...
 7.
Changed my user name recently, so to avoid confusion here's a new feedback thread Old feedback thread is here Cheers, B.
Mmmmm... very pretty too. I'll just check my Piggy Bank...
 8.
MY AWESOME wife has just agreed that is a good idea for me to get a,new bass. I've a 700 budget. I really fancy an ibanez srt900dx. beautiful thing. Is there anything else I should be considering at this kind of price? thanks in advance
I have to say my main bass at the moment is a Tobacco Sunburst Korean Fender 5-string - and it's incredible! Excellent tones for all styles, very adaptable, lovely to play, and looks pretty too. I picked it up 3 years ago for less than £700 and would recommend it to anyone. Not a particularly 'jazz' neck, but gorgeous nevertheless. Definitely worth checking out. ps Good choice of wife too!
 9. Er, is this going in the the right place? Bit confused by this site but hopefully here's where I get to introduce myself to the Basschat community. I've been playing bass for 28 years: started having lessons in Torquay with a classical guitarist who taught me to read bass clef from day one, then I joined a school band and failed my A-levels due to too much gigging (and ligging). Then I moved to London with my first serious pop band - Innocence Lost - and left them just as they got some decent support slots - Icicle Works, It Bites - and a Radio 1 session. My first pro gig was 9 months at a strip club in Soho, leading to cruise work and pantos through the early 90s. Then a few years on theatre tours with various West End productions helped me become a very busy freelance (big bands, soul, covers, funk, fusion and more), before I bowed to an easy but busy life with just one production for almost a decade - That'll Be The Day. The last 2 or 3 years I've been working as MD on another provincial tour with a Dusty Springfield tribute, but I'm finally realising my potential as a rock player working with Raw Glory and the reforming Heavy Metal Kids amongst others. New personal management opportunities have brought me into contact with some named acts and I believe something exceptional and fulfilling is finally within reach. I'm now based in West London and keeping my hand in with many and various dep situations while working on 'the big one'. My basses: Fender Jazz 5-string, Warwick Thumb 5-string, MusicMan Stingray with Status graphite neck 4-string, Washburn A40 acoustic bass, Stagg electric upright, Charvel 2B 4-string, Green Machine Technology fretless neck awaiting a suitable body. My amps: Ashdown Klystron 500, various Trace Elliot heads, Warwick pro-fet IV, assorted speakers - mostly 15s and 10s in different combinations. Effects: My Line6 BassPro rack thing gathers dust despite my best efforts to give it an active and enjoyable life. I used to love my Boss Octaver, but where did you go? I could go on and on, but it's late and the cocoa is kicking in now. Visit my new website if you fancy: www.andyhodgebass.com See you here or there soon.
