I have my spare Nate Mendel P bass for sale. It is in excellent condition and currently wearing flats. It has been gigged so it has a few paint knocks and touched up tiny flakes around the neck pocket where the neck has been removed to adjust the trussrod. To be honest it’s hard to tell as it’s a Roadworn series bass. Plays and sounds fantastic. It comes with a gig bag no extra FF plate though as I bought it used. It is very light at 3.9kgs. It has the heavy duty Fender bridge rather than the Badass installed. Lovely bass but I prefer maple boards these days.
UK only pickup preferred but I can post at buyers cost. Sorry no trades on this.

Fender Precision Bass E Series from Japan manufactured around 1984.
Classic looking bass with maple board and white scratchplate. It’s all original and plays really well. It’s light at under 4kgs and is strung with Daddario light gauge nickel rounds. Nut width is a comfortable 4.1mms. There are dings and scratches but nothing terrible, some scuffing to the neck and a small chip behind the nut at the E string. Nothing that effects the tuning stability or action. It’s a workhorse bass and has seen plenty of action. All original hardware and pickups, it plays and sounds fantastic.
It comes with a basic gig bag. I’d rather have it picked up but can post in the U.K. at buyer’s cost. No trades.

Beautiful, I love these early JVs. The two basses I’ve owned longest - most of my life in fact - are JVs. If my Roadworn were to sell I’d be all over this.

If it wasn’t for indecisive car manufacturers I would’ve jumped. Sorry about that mate x

Despite an initial flurry of interest this rather lovely bass is still for sale.

The machine heads are gold plated replacements. There is also evidence of a strap button on the back of the headstock.

Yes he said he would amend the ad when I pointed out that it may be a Squier.

I’ve been messaging the seller about this. I think it’s a JV era with the decal sanded off to make it look more like a Fender - as many did back then. What do you think? Looks okay.

Fender MIM Roadworn 50’s Precision Bass
The bass was made in 2011 and has all the Roadworn Series features including aged hardware and nitro finish, with ‘wear’ on the neck and body. It’s a wonderful example nice and light at 3.9kgs and as you can see in excellent condition. There is beautiful flaming to the neck both front and back. The bass plays and sounds superb and it comes with the original gig bag and box. I added the finger rest using the existing holes. The neck is in perfect condition and I’m only selling it because beautiful as it is the vintage nut width is a tiny bit wide for me. It comes strung with Roto 40-100s. Pickup preferred but I can post in the U.K. only for about £25 or you can organise your own courier. No trades I’m afraid. Now £799 and with the additional incentive of having a stellartone tonestyler bass 16 installed. This passive tone control gives the option of 16 switchable tones as opposed to the traditional ‘roll off the treble’ tone pot. It’s like a varitone on steroids! I will of course include a CTS pot should you want to switch back to a traditional tone control.

I bought this very recently from Brian on the forum it’s a superb bass however I definitely need to buy sub 4kgs basses these days and I do prefer maple boards.
Lovely US made 1998 Fender Precision Standard with Fender shaped case and all accessories and tags.
A superb bass in a rare metallic purple finish. Rosewood neck, very playable without any dings other than one at the headstock - see picture. It plays superbly and the neck is straight and true with a fully working trussrod. It weighs 4.2kgs. Only selling because my injured shoulder says no.
I’m not interested in trades sorry.
Personal pickup preferred but I can post at buyers cost in the UK only

Looks great - Is this one of the slightly narrower neck P's - 40mm or thereabouts?
It’s just over 41mm. Very nice manageable neck.

Another Fender Precision Bass for sale this time a nice maple neck E Series from Japan.
Classic looking bass with maple board and white scratchplate. It’s all original and plays really well. It’s light at under 4kgs and is strung with Daddario light gauge nickel rounds. There are dings and scratches but nothing terrible, some scuffing to the neck and a small chip behind the nut at the E string. Nothing that effects the tuning stability or action. It’s a workhorse bass and has seen plenty of action. All original hardware and pickups, it plays and sounds fantastic.
Sorry no trades on this one. It comes with a decent gig bag. I’d rather have it picked up but can post in the U.K. at buyer’s cost. Please withdraw as I have decided to keep it.

Fantastic! I knew a bit of investment and time would bring it back to life. Well done Brian.

These instruments were made in Japan alongside the legendary JV range and to the same high standard. They didn’t have the vintage features of the JV models but are well respected instruments nonetheless. Don’t confuse the SQ models with the ‘beginners market’ Squiers of later years, these are up there with the best US made instruments and are becoming sought after now JV models have started to attract big money. The necks are particularly wonderful. This one is in excellent condition, only a few minor marks and scuffs. The neck is immaculate, the hardware and pickups are like new. It sounds like a Precision ought to! All original and weighs 4kgs. New Rotos 40-100s great balance. An excellent vintage bass at an affordable price. A recent purchase but I need to raise some cash fairly urgently, last in first out.
It comes with a heavy, rather tatty but functional aluminium flight case. No trades, sorry. I’d prefer pickup in person as I only have the case to post it in, however if you want it posting in the U.K. I can look into it at your cost. If you want Fender flats on it rather than Rotos I can restring it.
Thanks!- 5
