  1. Dear All,
I have decided to sell my Alembic Mark King, I have to say she is the best bass i have ever owned and would not be parting company if it was not for my bad back, i just need something lighter.
She is the 34" scale and has a Californian book matched front which is very distinctive.
I have owned her since new (17 years) and there really is not a mark on the bass.
Comes with the original hard case, I will be sad to see her go but its not fair for an instrument of this quality to only be used at home (I used to play her live as my main bass for 15 years).

  2. I have a 1990 Dolphin pro 1 4 string in gloss black, I love it they are so cool and the neck profiles are just spot on, so much better in my opinion than the Warwick modern necks.
In your picture you could do with a couple more knobs on the bass to the left by the way, maybe stacked as well :-)
    Should not be here long.

    Regards
    Rob

  3. Sorry to see you have not moved this on yet, I'm still having the same trouble with my Alembic Mark King. It would seem that if its not below £500 and shaped like a fender people just are not that interested. There is a reason these basses cost more, just look at them. That said these days it would seem if its fender shaped and looks like it has been thrown down the stairs people will pay more than £500.
    Rant over

  4. Well I too was concerned about the power, however I did not want to drill into the cabs in any way, the lead therefore from the top cab comes out the bottom corner and rests on the lower edge of the cab little black tape to keep in place, the bottom cab it comes out at the top, this way you can power them and just tuck the lead in the gap between the two cabs with the TC rough covering it just stays there.
It is easier and more out of the way than say a power supply for your pedals, you just need to plan the routing.
If you are willing to drill our cab then you could drill a hole to thread the cables through to the back of the cab and then fit a female DC surface mount to the back and plug in that way but I did not want to change or damage my cabs.
The way I have done mine you could remove and never know they had been there.
