  1. Hi chatters
Up for grabs is my mint Fredric Green Russian pedal
Cracking little take on the CLASSIC that sounds every bit as good as I remember my OG Sovtek sounding way back in the early 90's
    Here's the company blurb:

I recently copped an Owen Space Charge which does the Muff thing otherwise this would bee a keeper ;)

Only trades I'm after are for a micro POG or a Pitchfork , natch with some money thrown on top.

I'd maybe consider a Mooer tender octaver too, hit me up

    One Love x

  2. Deffo the cream of the crop of EHX's synth pedals
HAVE to get one at some point!!
a lot of people slate EHX but I think they're fantastic (I only own one tho, the Freeze) they always keep coming up with new ideas like these ones (b9? C9?) and that Ravish Sitar appeals to me! Don't sound that much like a sitar on bass but I could Deffo use one in my electronica outfit, sounds craay!

(The whammy bar is a given on the assumption that you need it for something you're planning to do.)

    Yes!!
I actually came up with a great (even if I do say so myself) idea using the Whammy I previously owned !
I reiterate how stupid I was selling it!
Don't know WHAT I was thinking!!
    HAVE to get one!!!

I'm pretty sure one of GAK's guitar bods is a member here, so you might find you're not getting credit after all 😬

    I GOT DECLINED !!
I get an email this morning revoking it!!
    WTF.?
Oh well, I put a few pedals up for sale / trade in EFS
    I WILL HAVE ANOTHER WHAMMY,!!!

  5. Thought I was blacklisted as far as credit / finance is concerned due to a mobile phone bill(s) a couple of years ago, so it was with tongue planted firmly in cheek when I tried to get a Bass Whammy on the knock from G.A.K.
BUT THEY ONLY BLOODY WENT FOR IT!!
Only drawback being : I have to 'borrow' at least £250. The Bass Whammy is £139 so I've a bit to play with IF I decide to throw caution to the wind and go for it.
You know what tho?? There really is NOTHING I particularly want / need (except the Whammy, I stupidly sold mine recently and have SERIOUS sellers remorse!!!) without spending TOO much.
I thought about a Dirty Robot but being a BSW owner, decided against.
I also thought about a Freqout but jogged that idea on.
A superego would be nice but being a Freeze owner yada yada (plus at £199 it's a trifle expensive).
I also toyed with the idea of a 3 way crossover so I could finally build that 3 stack system of my dreams, but decided against that for s few reasons Hahahahahaha
What made the shortlist is a Boss RC3 looper. I'm sure I could utilise one, not for soloing over myself (I'm no soloist) but just to add some weird textures to some tracks in my electronica outfit.
Any thoughts for or against anything chaps and chapesses ??
Any bright ideas before I tick that 'I have read the t&c' box ??

  6. I recently brought an Owen electronics space charge distortion and it covers everything from mild overdrive to muff style and beyond.
It uses a 12AX7 valve, has mid control and a boost.
I'm seriously able to ditch my Rat Tail, Boss DHSS1and Fredric Green Russian now to free up board space for a Bass Whammy.
Sounds great with my Jazz through my Trace stack and brutal with it through my EVH stack.
This pedal has changed my life and would recommend it for almost any given situation!
Mild fuzz though is one of its strongest points!
Good luck with your tone quest !!

  7. Moog MP201 night and f*cking day!
Mine is the core of my rig.
MIDI to my SR16 and CV outs to LPF (1). Ring Mod (2). And Minituar (1) USB out to Ableton
It's such a comfortable treadle and the features are extensive to say the least.
Triangle waves, square waves , saw tooth, sample and hold, gates, noise, ramp etc etc
I paid £350 for mine from a basschatter and it's the best money I've ever spent.
If mine got lost, stolen or broken I would hunt one down no matter how much it cost or how far away it was .

  8. I use an oxide for that really tight gate, in my experience it's the tightest out there.
I also use a Mastotron, not quite as tight as the IEO but a great gated fuzz.
I tend to use the two of them together a lot too, makes for a great saw tooth type sound.

  9. Bert and I have been through a living nightmare and I let him down pretty damn bad.
My fault entirely but Bert had acted like a true gentleman throughout the whole debacle, being totally understanding.
Top, TOP geezer and an absolute credit to basschat!
    Cheers Bert!!
