Man I LOVE that

I'll get pictures up tonight

Sounds like I should get the flat response one instead then

Just bought a lovely bitsa jazz from a fellow basschatter and it's lovely! Waiting on my choice of strings and set up but even the way it is it sounds absolutely fantastic! Lovely Marcus miller neck, sunburst body will be fitting a j retro within the month also
Getting closer and closer to my dream jazz I think this is the one! -
Just bought a jazz from sammybee, great bass just as described even met me halfway thanksssssss

Very interested in fitting a j retro into a passive jazz bass, as I love the Marcus miller tone and it will help me get closer to that, but I also really like that warm, burpy jaco' bridge pickup tone, which I usually get by rolling the tone off
Will the j retro be able to do this? As it doesn't have a passive tone knob and I don't want the deluxe model -
Thanks dude , the title track is special too
-
Jaco's bass of doom!
-
Check it out if you get 5 minutes the fretless playing and tone on that track really is sublime
-
Straight neck, extremely low action on my status Kingbass, fender jazz is a bit higher (not much), and the jaydee is low too , I love effortless playing
-
Anyone interested in coming
Will be a good night
Lots of good prizes including Manchester United executive tickets, Russell Howard signed stuff and tickets and loads more -
Nice Kingbass

Lovely basses, heavy, versatile, gorgeous, love the original body style and the Clarke shape too
-
Thanks geezers , It's the latest thing coming my way as I love the jazz honky-jaco-y, and also the bright Marcus stuff
What are worth while upgrades? Tuners? J retro? -
What are people's thoughts

Alembics? Talk to me.

I agree totally with what's been said in the last few posts
I mean yeah alembics are absolutely amazing instruments and many have them and love them and that's cool, but I really do think that anything over 5 grand starts to get silly, it goes beyond what an instrument should be valued at unless it's been used by a famous person
