I mostly use it with all the filters flat, but sometimes I tweak just a little the VLE or VPF if I can't get the right tone.

welcome! I'm newbie too, and almost in the same situation (been playing for almost 5 years now and so on). Have you tried to seek for the main influences of your favourite bassists? If they do a nice bass work, they must have learnt it from them. Well, that's just my tip. I hope you find new inspirational bassists. Cheers!

Hi there, I'm a quite newbie bassist from Spain and I just got in there to improve my bass and english knowledge. I hope you'll excuse my poor english, I'm still fixing it Right now, my gear consists of a pair of Markbass amps (121p & separate LM3 and 121NY), a five-string Fender JB for common duties and a pair of BC rich for headbanging and fun. I also try to make a six string fretless sound like I weren't playing drunk, but I'm still working on it. Well, I hope it hasn't taken too long.
