Great paint jobs, but I've never been a fan of the hand written stuff on the casing.

Ask him to do you one without the scrawls? Or repaint it!

  2. As Shep has said, the ODB-3 (especially set on lower gain settings) is a great pedal. You may also like the EHX Bass Big Muff, which can be had VERY cheaply on this forum. I had both for years before shifting them on and loved them dearly. Part of me misses them both actually, despite having swapped them both out for pedals a little more boutique.

  3. First pedals I would buy would be a Tuner, then a decent pre/di and then a compressor. That is of course if I was starting from scratch, I would find it hard without my Octaver or any of my fuzzes/overdrives but I have found those first 3 are the most important, even if they're not the most fun.

I know I spend a lot on effects pedals, but I mean that makes the Deep Impact look positively Behringer...

Sell it to a 3rd knob. :yarr:

    Brilliant!

In all serious, to OP, 2 knob compressors really aren't that bad. I love my EBS MultiComp and if you have it on its normal mode, it basically is a two knob compressor. Even on Multi Comp mode you can only adjust internally the effect upon Low/High bands in addition to usual Gain adjustment and Compression level. No ability to adjust the threshold, attack, release etc... but it gets the job done and sounds great, YMMV though, might not be controllable enough for you.

Did the resonance used to do more than it does now?

Nope. I thought it did originally but after careful reading of the manual it turns out it really doesn't.

Free bump for a great fuzz with a very good gate - which can also go mental. It's not called the poor man's fuzz factory for nothing!
