1. I would place it around £500, (but not sure if it isn't too low) might add some cash towards the right trade if something will catch my eye.
I'm always interested in some nice Warwicks, could do with some bolt on thumb, streamer or FNA. I'm not interested in Fenders. I'm fully happy with this bass but I'd like to order custom GMR soon and thats why I'm thinking about trade it:)

2. Hey there, this is back up for sale due to unexpected circumistances. Always feel bad when I need to part with a good bass.

£300 on collection, first come first served. I won't go any lower.

This is a Wojtek Pilichowski GMR signature (before he moved to Mayones). GMR had two options, one was very high specs with neck-through design and boutique electronics and second one was more affordable bolt-on construction with MEC active pickups and passive electronics, but still handcrafted and exceptional quality as you would expect from this company.
This one has a Steinberger bridge with d-tuner, MEC active pickups, passive electronics, Warwick tuners, Body wood is a sandwich type with walnut on the back and top, mahogany tone block and ovangkol, neck is made of 3 pcs maple which is gently flamed, rosewood fingerboard, 24 frets, natural oil finish.
Bass sounds and feels great, has few small dings (I bought it as a display model).

I'm in Borehamwood area. Had quite a few deals here in basschat and you can find my feedback in the feedback section.

3. Thanks guys, this is a one great bass indeed, and at this price I doubt that you can find something better, I would keep it as a backup but need some money as I really want to get a looper pedal. I'll accept 90 quid collected or 100 posted! I won't go any lower than that, I paid more and I'm loosing some money here anyway. If there will be still no interests in this bass I'll be patient 'till my next payday and will keep this as a backup. :)

4. Hey guys, I'm selling my Ibanez SR300M for silly £[s]100[/s] 90. Reason for such a low price is a little damage. Previous owner stated in his ad there is a lacquer crack on the body, but when I went down to check it I realised it isn't only a lacquer crack but the wood is damaged as well, but bought it anyway 'cause I was so ipressed by the sound and comfort of this bass and the damage seems to be minor as the body is still solid. I was gigging with this bass, playing many rehearsals and it never let me down. It's very light, has a narrow and slim neck (great for those with small hands, like me). Has few small dings here and there, all done by previous owner, but nothing major, I'd say it's just normal wear of years of playing. I strongly preffer local pick-up, I'm in London, Mill Hill area so buyer could inspect the damage in person, but can post (at buyers cost, propably around £10) as I've got few solid boxes. Bass comes as it is, without any case or gig bag. Great bass at very low price (new is around £280). Oh, and it needs a set of new, fresh strings 'cause these fitted now are quite worn, just been playing a lot on this bass.

5. I just bought new bass and unfortunately I can't afford to keep this one, need to get back some money that I spent on new one.

Bought this from here, link to the original thread - http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Hope you don't mind Hamfist.

So, this is a very nice example of Squier (34 scale), made in Indonesia, well made, I was suprised when received this bass. Action is good, I would say medium-low just because in warwicks and yamaha that I had action was just super-extra-low and everything now for me is too high. Dead quiet active electronics with 2 band EQ.
Bass is in great condition but has some light signs of use. Served me well for that short time, I played few rehearsals and even a gig on this bass and collected few good words about my sound.

Bass comes with cheap Peavey gig-bag, I paid £140 inc postage but without gig-bag and the bass is in the same condition as i received it. I'm looking for £120 collected (and I preffer collection), but I'm willing to post for extra few pounds (last time when I sent bass i paid 12 pounds so It will be something around that). I'm located in London, Mill Hill.

I don't have my own feedback thread here but I've done many transactions over here and I can provide some contacts for feedback if required.

Here is one pic, not the best quality from the iphone, more pics in the original thread, bass is in the same condition, but I can shot more pics if required.

No trades please.

Probably best to ask in repairs and technical. Do you have anything that might be of help in diagnosing and repairing - multimeter for testing, soldering iron for, er, soldering?

My first step would be the visual check - you've done that. Also check that nothing is connecting the signal path to earth - for example the braiding on shielded cables, where stray strands can come into contact with solder joints. Then I'd go with checking the pickups out direct - for that I'd unsolder the pickups from the volume controls. Then I'd first check that each pickup had a resistance of a few kilohms, ie. not short circuit and not open circuit. Then (assuming they seemed OK) I'd connect them (individually) straight to an amp input and see if they made a noise. If they did, it would be down to the volume and tone wiring.

Unfortunately i haven't any tools, but electronics for me are black magic anyway. Except electronics bass had neck in not the best condition, frets were covered in lacquer, so someone who made that bass tinted whole neck and didn't polished frets. I took that bass to one guy who doing repair works and quote for fixing neck issues and electronics was higher than I paid for this bass. Fortunately seller accepted my return.

I had a Yasuki exactly like this, Columbus had a headstock truss adjust with a metal cover!
It seems like not every Columbus is like that, here is some youtube vid that i found with Columbus jazz from 77, i can clearly see that this one doesn't have headstock truss rod and metal cover.
