    I agree that their work is worth every penny, as I said, I had some of my basses done in The Gallery and always was very happy. The thing is that I'm a bit short on cash these days, and on the other side I don't want to ruin high end bass if I decide to keep it. If I remember correctly there was a topic here on basschat where The Gallery offered fretting Wall bass for £150, that's why I was a bit surprised when I checked price list on their website.

    Hiya fellow basschatters.

    I'm recently pending fretless trade but I've never played on fretless before, don't know how I'll get on with it and as the bass will be on the high end side I'm already thinking about fretting it and keeping it anyway.
    Problem is very simple, I don't really know where to go with this job, I don't want to ruin expensive high end bass. The only place I know is The Gallery, I had few things on my basses done over there and I absolutely admire their solid and professional work and great customer service and I'd love to leave the bass in their workshop, but I just can't currently afford £210 for it. I hope we have someone in London who does this thing for a littlebit less. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Okay guys, quick story of this bass. I ordered exact copy of this one but with figured walnut top and satin finish. While waiting for walnut one I received this one as I was a bit impatient and while I received this and played for a few hours I phoned mr. Roman Koc (founder) and asked if I can keep this one instead and he agreed. This is by far the best bass I've ever had, a dream one I've been waitin for it whole my life, and now when it is finally here I found myself not playing that much, mostly because sh*tty day job that takes so much of my time and life energy.

    This is absolutely top of the range GMR instrument, finest quality and craftmanship. This exact bass was reviewed in iBass magazine ([url="http://gmrbasses.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/iBassreviewsite1.jpg"]http://gmrbasses.com...reviewsite1.jpg[/url]).

    Specs:
    Body - mahogany with flamed maple top
    Neck - 3 pcs flamed maple, 2 pcs mahogany and matching headstock
    fingerboard - rosewood
    Shaller tuners
    ETS bridge (16.5 mm spacing on the bridge, you can still adjust it to be a bit wider, but not that much)
    Bartolini pickups
    Noll 3 way preamp (originaly had John East but it was changed before they sent it to me, I played on this bass with John East and to be honest I prefer Noll, less knobs and sounds fantastic)
    High gloss finish

    Bass is absolutely mint. It is quite light, propably ligther than any four string bass I had and very well balanced, once you strap it on it won't move. It is quite nice sculpted on the back, you almost can't notice it on the pics but it fits great to the body and is very comfortable.

    As a trade I am open to offers in similar used value basses 4/5 strings fretted or fretless. Trades + cash my way are possible but I can't do it in opposite direction due to other non-music releated expenses.

    Hi there,
    I'm looking for a seriously passionate and experienced teacher in London area. And I mean really passionate freak of sharing his love for music with his students, not only for extra income.
    I need a guide, a mentor who help me reach my goals.
    I have quite hard day job and I'm really tired of searching for new books, new methods and new teachers, spending lot of money and not getting too much positive results. I'd like to attend some shool but because of work I can't do it. I'm not a completely beginner, I self educated myself a bit, I know how to read music notation in bass and treble clef (but still not sight), I know basic major and minor scales, basic chords and some other basic stuff but the problem is that I can't organise my practice routines and can't properly choose material to work on as there is soooooooo much books, websites and when I'm getting back home from work completely shattered the last thing I want to do is spending my precious time sailing through thousands informations that makes me frustrate and stressed resulting with another wasted day.
    All I want is exploring music theory in practical way that will help me become a good musician with solid knowledge and learn everything in well organised order to get the most from my time, build considerable repertoire and technique.
    I know that all these things come with time and it's impossible to learn everything in one, two or ten lessons and I'm looking for long term teacher, I'd like to meet once a week or two weeks depending on how busy at work I am for as long I'll need it.

    Moneywise it really doesn't matter for me, I can pay the right money for what I get and as I'm working really hard for every penny I need to feel a reason to get rid of it. What I require is passion first, but as it's about the jazz music I want my teacher to be really experienced and respected player in that genre with references to prove it.

    So, if you are the right person or you know person who could be right please contact me ASAP!

    It is, but people seems to be afraid of these beautiful instruments. When i tried to stupidly get rid of mine for even more stupid price there was almost no interest. Same now when I'm trying to trade it. This is a big shame because these basses are extraordinary well, everyone should try one!

    Saw your top Jamie, I'm a guy who ordered the one with walnut top, I'll see you at the London Bass Guitar Show mate. I wish to keep this one too but can't afford to buy another bass for side project and this one has a very specific sound. Definitely sounds quite original.

    Online Music College?

    Hey guys,
    So, I was thinking about taking some online course. I always wanted to go and learn in music shool but it seems like it's too late. I'm working full time and can't attend normal daily shool like ICMP, and part time courses there are more focused on very basic things and I want to learn way more about playing, theory and all that things. I know there is many materials available to do it on my own, I bought many books, I'm looking from time to time at some youtube lessons etc. I'm not a completely begginer, I've been in a music college for a year and a half few years ago but it was more classical shool and I was playing on the trumpet, I know only the very basics of music theory and now I want expand it, but doing it on my own is sometimes quite hard as I don't know how to organise and manage all the informations...
    So, as I can't attend to normal daily college I was thinking about starting some online course. Some of them are very expensive like Berklee, some are quite cheap like Institute of Bassists. Anyone has any experience? If yes I'd love to hear your thoughts, do you think it is worth it? Which online music shool would be the best? Or maybe local teacher would be better option? I'd appreciate any suggestions!
